This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom plus a beautiful loft space cabin is located just 4-miles north of Ouray, featuring tranquil San Juan gateway and forest scenery from the oversized picture windows of the living area.and loft. The kitchen is compact, yet it has everything you will need for your mountain stay. An informal indoor and outdoor deck dining areas are perfect to enjoy a well-deserved meal after a full day of adventure.

The south facing loft area is the perfect setting to enjoy the San Juan Gateway sunrise and evening sky with breathtaking views or relax with your favorite book in the quiet wooded hillside.

At the end of your day of adventure relax in the upstairs primary bedroom with a King bed and full bathroom with walk-in shower located downstairs.

The second ensuite bedroom is located on the opposite side of the cabin, complete with a private entrance, queen bed, loveseat and Smart TV, full bathroom with walk-in shower, kitchenette and dining bar for two with views of the Ridgway valley.

Loft (not a bedroom) - Day Bed (second floor)

PROPERTY DISCLOSURES:
1. The owners live on-site in a separate home.
2. Riding off-road vehicles is NOT permitted on the property, but hiking is welcomed.
3. For winter stays (September through May) a 4WD or AWD vehicle is required.
4. RV's and trailers are not allowed. Free parking is available for RV's and trailers at the west end of 9th Ave in Ouray.
5. Like most properties in the area, this home does not have air conditioning, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are kept cooler by opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40's, along with closing windows and window coverings before the sun rises.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

The location was great. Close to Ouray and Ridgway. Definitely need to follow the directions sent to you--do NOT use GPS. The drive to the property was up a steep hill so you need a vehicle with at least some type of AWD at a minimum due to the loose gravel. If there is rain or snow, it would be even more difficult. The cabin was very clean. The main bed was comfortable and the view out the bedroom window was magnificent!! Seating in the downstairs area is pretty tight, but there were only two of us so we made it work. There is no air conditioning, so just be prepared for that. There were several fans available. The main recommendation I have is for some type of covering (curtain or blind) in the kitchen window over the sink. The sun shines directly into the window in the late afternoon/evening & right into the main area. Also, the property owners utilize the workshop that is attached to the cabin. We were just surprised at first that they would be in there when we would pull up after being out sightseeing/hiking for the day.

Quiet, simple retreat
The cabin was perfect for our needs - no frills and like a step back in time but was clean and met our needs and expectations well. The king bed upstairs is very comfortable and looks out on the mountains! There is no air conditioning but with venting the screened windows and running the several fans that are provided, we were very comfortable. The “sofa” downstairs is a futon that was not comfortable to lounge on and we would have preferred an actual loveseat or something, but alas, we did not come to the mountains to sit around in our cabin. The property is very quiet and well located with easy access to Ouray, Ridgway, and Telluride. We would stay here again!

Rustic perfection
We had the privilege of staying at this sweet little cabin, while attending my daughter's destination wedding in Ouray. This place was amazing. The views are spectacular. Wildlife is everywhere. Even the pebbles here are more beautiful. Beauty abounds. Our cabin covered all of our needs and was really private and perfect. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this spot and please visit the hot springs in Ouray. Very therapeutic.

The cabin was everything we needed for a long weekend. The outdoor space is great, it's quiet and secluded, the view was amazing, and the sound of the river rushing was awesome. Only word of caution is that if you're going during the mud season be sure your vehicle can make it up the steep hill. My SUV had no trouble, but I could see smaller cars having issues if it rains like it did for us. Great place!

Perfect location; incredible view
So glad we stayed here. Conveniently located between Ridgway and Ouray, but surrounded by acres of privacy and away from the hubbub. The cabin was like a time capsule from the 70s in a cool and funky way. It had everything we needed and the beds were numerous and comfortable. Can't beat the view of the mountains from the master beadroom. Would definitely stay here again.

Cabin is in a great location (can be a little bit tricky to find at night, but detailed directions are provided). Host does not bother you. VERY close to Ouray and Ridgway, right in the middle of both amazing towns. Highly recommend!

Very nice little cabin for a small family or couples. In case you don’t know not many places have A/C including this one so if it’s hot use the fans and open windows accordingly at night. Would stay again for sure.

The cabin was everything we expected. The most breath taking view of the mountains and at night the stars are amazing! We spent 7days there and it was a great time. But…. We had days that we just wanted to hangout at the cabin, it wasn’t possible to relax there. Their are a few things that could make this cabin more up to date. The couch downstairs is worn and could be bigger. And the TVs are very small, a bigger tv would have been great. So relaxing at the cabin was pretty much impossible. An a/c unit would be great to have during the summer months because when 12 in the afternoon came around the cabin starts to get really hot.

Very nice area and close to Ouray! House was small but served the purpose. Not having an AC was really rough on us but we managed. The management company did bring us an extra fan. But coming from Texas we need AC. It would have been nice when we arrived if the windows and the fans would have been on to help cool the house off a little. It was super hot when we got there. We misread the ad and assumed it had AC so we were a little shocked. The shower was super small but recently update and clean. The only other recommendation would be to have a fire pit and maybe some umbrellas on the patio so we could have sat outside . It was cooler outside than in the house in the evening. The master bed was amazing! The mattress was so comfortable and the linens were very nice. I actually ordered the same pillows when we got home. We had a great time. Love the location so much! I would recommend this house but just be aware about the lack of ac. Spring and fall would be Amazing!

Unique, private property with nice view conveniently located between the towns of Ouray and Ridgway. Downstairs might be a little tight for some families, but we spent most of our time exploring the surrounding areas so the inside space wasn't that much of a concern for us. The upstairs area had plenty of sleeping room and a super comfortable bed in the master. We prepared almost all of our meals in the efficient kitchen. The area was peaceful and we could hear the river while we were outside. We had noticed reviews mentioning donkeys and we were kind of sad when we saw that they weren't there since my kids love animals. There were chipmunks and deer to watch so that made up for the lack of donkeys. Lol! The wifi was sufficient for Zoom calls and working from 'home'. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay with everything that we needed and we would definitely stay there again.

Our Stay at Ridgway
This is a cute little cabin. The views are nice and check in was easy. The only thing that we didn't like was the road noise if you sit outside. There was also no heat source except for the wood stove.
