If you have luggage, or only a few days skip this
Publié le 20 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst, the views from this property are incredible, there is no denying that. But, the views from anywhere in Interlaken are incredible.
The listing is accurate, but there are a few things that would keep me from ever coming back. First, this is easily a 35 minute walk from the train station and 1/2 the walk is on gravel that roller luggage can’t be pulled on. I did message the host to verify taxis would be available, which she assured me there was, but there isn’t. This is the same walk you’ll have to take into town everytime you go, so at least an hour round trip.
Also, maybe it’s just me, but the directions to get to the house were atrocious.
Then the rules of the house. I am an incredibly tidy person but the 12 page book of house rules, including being responsible for bringing the garbage to the dumpster a half mile away before you leave is annoying to say the least. I mean there is a cleaning fee, shouldn’t it be covered under that.
Last thing, the shower is TINY! Like can barely fit your whole body in tiny.
Overall, I think there are so many places closer in to Interlaken, so if you have roller luggage, or are only staying for a few days, look somewhere else.

Hi Ashley. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry that the property did not meet your expectations. As you said I do advise guests to take a taxi on their arrival day, I am really sorry you did not stay at the taxi station at the train station, you just have to stand there for a few minutes and the taxi's come in and out.
I don't know what to say about the directions, I have been working on them since I started running the property and thought they were pretty "bang on" by now. I'll review them again to make sure nothing has changed.
The House Manual provided in the House Manual is not a list of rules about the house. It is a book of information to help you during your stay. Telling you the WIFI password, how to use the heating, TV, where the kayak is etc.... We ask you to turn the heating and lights off on departure and pop the garbage in the metal container 150m from the apartment which you walk past when leaving the property,
I'm really am sorry this was the wrong choice for you and wish you the very best with your future travel adventures.

Cute little boathouse
Publié le 3 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe boathouse was adorable but very little!!! We enjoyed the outdoor balcony every morning and evening. We appreciated have laundry available for us as well. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

The Hidden Gem

The shower was a little small, but it did not take away the fantastic location and the beautiful patio. It was quiet and very relaxing. It's a nice 15 minute walk into town or to the train station. Would stay here again. Great communication and the explanation on how to get there was perfect.

Bathroom is REALLY small

Everything you need with views to spare
Publié le 12 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayThe Boathouse is a cozy little studio outfitted with all the necessities, equally comfortable after a day of hiking or drinking coffee on the balcony in the rain. Stunning riverside views, calls from waterfowl, and the distant lowing of cows await! Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Traumhaft!

Publié le 7 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwaydie ferienwohnung ist sehr zentral wir konnten unsere reiseziele sehr gut erreichen. es hat eine wunderschöne lage mit berg- und seeblick. wir haben unseren urlaub sehr genossen. die vermieterin war sehr freundlich wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. sehr gerne wieder.
