Don't get me wrong, this is a nice place overall but if you are getting this hotel to avoid Rio's ridiculously expensive hotels and you are planning to commute from this location every day back and forth to Rio, FORGET ABOUT IT, it's not practical. The ride is long and the road condition is bad, the last half a mile between the village and the hotel is dirt road, the commute is 90 minutes one way at the best (outside rush hours). If you are thinking about getting a hotel in a small village by the beach enjoying nature and quite environment then this might be the right place for you. The staff is helpful and friendly and most importantly they speak good English (a rare finding in Brazil), the hotel itself feels like home, the rooms are OK, the bathroom wasn't "Hotel Clean" and looks like there is no daily cleaning either. The breakfast was good. It feels like you join a group of acquitances as you ran into other guests quite often.
