Amazing Beach Rental!!!!
Publié le 12 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwaySeriously stop looking and just book this amazing rental! It's remarkably clean, right on the beach with great dock for watching sunsets or catching a water taxi. Snorkeling is amazing all around Spooky Channel and they have a kayak! Owners are so nice and available for any questions. Only a couple minute drive from West End but easy to catch a taxi at the end of the driveway if you did not rent a car :)

Publié le 5 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I had a wonderful time at Al and Sandra’s house. They are excellent hosts—thoughtful, friendly, accommodating. They’re willing to chat or give you space, whatever your style. The house was great. Spacious and comfortable plus strong AC in the bedroom for sleeping. We have stayed in a lot of rental houses and this one had the most well-appointed kitchen by far. Sharp knives! Yes! Plus tons of condiments. Hanging out on the dock in hammocks was delightful plus kayaking to various sites nearby. Al and Sandra make it easy to stay without renting a car. They picked us up/dropped us off from the airport and took us to the grocery store multiple times. Catching taxis is super easy from the driveway—we went to West Bay and the West End often. We had a great time and would definitely stay again!

The hosts were super welcoming and informative on your arrival and live close by if you need or have any additional questions. The house was nice and clean and had all of the basic necessities needed for an enjoyable stay at the property. It felt really safe the whole time we were there and the place and surroundings were super quiet. The view to the beach, ocean and dock were amazing. Its definitely in a more quiet area of the island and we appreciated that very much. Would absolutely stay here again and its not even been 24 hours and we already greatly miss Roatan. Thank you Al & Sandra

Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I stayed here for 3 weeks. First trip to Roatan and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED. I believe this property is ideal for a couple that want a little getaway. Al and Sandra are great, easy spirits and easy to talk to. They answered all our questions and made sure had clean sheets and towels and plenty of water or anything else we needed. They met us and gave us an overview of the property and gave us some great suggestions for our stay. The property is quiet and serene, just what we were looking for. We deliberately stayed away from west bay and west end, we wanted quiet and we got it. The home had everything we needed. If we cooked we had everything we needed, fresh clean water to drink, literally anything we needed to be comfortable was there. The property is clean and comfortable. Al and Sandra gave us snorkels to use, which we did almost every day, we swam out to the second largest barrier reef in the world from the dock we had right in front of the property, no need to go anywhere! They gave us hammocks which we used almost daily in the afternoon to enjoy the afternoon breezes on the dock. Their doggos are the best, friendly and love to be loved on. If you want to slow down and relax, this is the place for you!

Lovely spot on Sandy Bay

A/C was much appreciated since we didn’t acclimate to the Roatan heat/humidity very well. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay at a nice spot not at a resory

Perfect Get Away

It was perfect, clean, easy to get to, and had great porch to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. Owners were next door and were available if we needed anything at all but we didn't because the house had everything! Would book again!

The screened in porch was so nice and the sunset views are astounding!
Snorkeling right off the dock was amazing too!

Great Island Trip

First of all: location, location, location.
Beautiful spot right on the beach. One of the only places not being overrun right now.
It is literally in front of spooky channel, the most unique snorkel spot we’ve been to.
It was quiet and beautiful. You can see the sunsets and beautiful mornings as well.
The hosts were so gracious. They loaned us their guitar (btw if you play, an awesome gift would be to bring strings) Sandra even brought us stuff from the store once. There are kayaks and they graciously loaned me a snorkel when mine was broken.
The tiny bit of advice would be that this is more fit for a couple than a group. The upstairs loft would be way too hot for much of the year.
If we ever come back to Roatan this would be the only place we would even consider.

Hi Chris, We really enjoyed having you guys here. The guest houses is best for couples, but we keep getting people that wanted to bring one or two friends or family members. Like you said the loft was too warm during the hotter months. So, last year we put a large AC unit in the living room, beneath the loft bedroom. It works well to keep the main part of the house, including the loft, cool. We’ve had several people stay in the loft in the heat of summer and they said it was fine with the AC on before bed or during the night. Before we added the AC, we discouraged people from staying up there during the warmer months, but it seems to work pretty well now.
We hope to see you again in Roatan, Sandra and Al
