Smelled so bad couldn’t stay
Publié le 28 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayHad to dodge around large wet spot in driveway with remnants of dog poop to get in door. Unguarded drop to right down basement stairs as enter, unable to fully open door because of mop bucket behind. Strong cleaning smell as enter, but when get fully into kitchen strong odor of mustiness and dog smell. Persisted into living room and upstairs into bedroom. Smelled strongly of feces in bathroom. Obvious water stain along living room ceiling with possible mold visible. Left house, didn’t even stay the night. When contacted property manager, got snarky response that smelled only of cleaning products and “you must have left for another reason”. No attempt to remedy our concerns.
Reached out to VRBO. Following am and spoke with representative, told to respond to email with details and would hear back in 48 hours, five days later, still no response.

Mini blind on window by toilet broke, so anyone could see in. No smoke detectors in bedrooms. Extension cords all over to plug stuff in, which tripped the breaker box when trying to dry hair. Property is near the lake, however there is no way to get to the lake.

Terrible Experience - Do not rent this property!
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house is in very poor condition. Everything is old/outdated. Blinds in the windows throughout the house are broken. Windows are dirty. There are dirty splashes on the walls in the bathroom. There's no way to make ice in the freezer. The cooking supplies are old/outdated. There are not enough towels or supplies for a family of 4 - even though we were confirmed for 5 people and the quality is horrible, like they were bought second hand. The stairs going up to the second floor are VERY loud as is the tub floor in the shower. The air conditioners upstairs are not strong enough. There are no chairs to sit outside. The whole house is VERY dark, even though the pictures on the site are very brightly sunlit. The house has a musty smell, which makes it seem that no one has used it in a long time. It feels like a house that would be good enough for college students having a weekend party who do not care, but it's definitely NOT appropriate for a family vacation. When I shared all of this feedback with the host, they disregarded my dissatisfaction and stopped communicating with me. I was hoping to get things resolved so I did not need to post this review here. Do not rent this property.

First of all, we are sorry for you felt that way. But you telling our staff and screaming that you want and expect a full refund after staying 5 nights it’s not something that we are going to allow. Extra towels were in the dryer like we told you as soon as you check in. You also request a few items as soon as you check in as we had it delivered to you, even though we usually don’t even provided the stuff you were requesting. We never heard back from you until you had checkout and demanded all of those extra items.

Great potential

I think an outside area for smoking, enjoying weather, sitting with dog etc is missing and is important. The decor in home is minimal so its not a cozy feel but its definately adequet..if you like to cook, pans are minimal also. Its perfect for a short stay. For longer stays its missing home comforts..like i bought and left a scissors..lol i did enjoy myself.
