The front desk staff checked me in using someone else’s name. I only found this out after we got up to the room and it had one bed and our reservation was for two double beds. They Pre authorized my credit card for this room for $287 when my room was already paid for. She then tried to make it sound like it wasn’t a big deal and tried to get me to pre authorize our actual reservation in which I refused. We asked for extra blankets and towels and they never came to our room. Valet took 20 minutes to bring us our car because they don’t label vehicle details on their keys. This is our second time staying and our last.

For a city run on corrupt private healthcare, this building fell below expectation. The whole vibe was good for about 20 years ago. But I kept running into things that just made me feel like, this $230/night isn't worth it. The coffee machine in the room was old, there wasn't stir sticks, and the quality of the coffee and creamers etc. was 1 star hotel-esque. There was no water in the gym and I almost passed out (LOL). The pool was beautiful but the hot tub was quite dirty. There was no pen by my notepad in my room. I asked the concierge if there was anywhere to get food in the city past 10PM and they said no, but I had already found 2 places prior to asking her and they didn't offer to look for me. The person working valet parking was extremely kind and helpful however!

Kahler Grand IS Grand :)
The front desk clerk was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful in allowing us to get into our room early. We had appointments that had a very large gap of time. If she hadn't let us in, we would have had to sit in a waiting room for several hours. She helped us on our check out and held our bags, as well. The hotel was very comfortable and I was very happy to be able to just walk down to the subway level to get to our appointments.
