Booked a queen bed and it was a smaller bed that I had to call to get proper sheets for. When I asked about the room I was told you have no queen beds only double. So that to me was false advertisement. Room was so small barely could move around bed without hitting toes or shoulder on tv. Hotel lobby is beautiful but rooms are not great. Beds are super small. Not queens more like oversized twin.

Beautiful historic hotel

What a beautifully remodeled, historic hotel; yet it has kept its charm. The key boxes remain behind the front desk, the lobby is beautiful. Bathtub/shower is small (older size) but everything is very neat and clean. Great location for access to Mayo Clinic, Methodist Hospital and Mayo Civic Center. Great pricing for such a hotel and location.

Front desk staff were always helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was poor. Of the 6 days we stayed at the Kahler we had full housekeeping for 1 day. On our next to last day there I was handed 2 plastic bags for the trash. then she never returned to collect it. I had to put it in the hall to have it removed. There were NO USB ports. For 4 days I received free coffee take out early in the AM. The last 2 days they wanted to charge me. Need consistency in policy.

Being so close to Mayo Clinic, the staff at the Kahler is completely understanding that the people staying at their hotel may be going through a really difficult time. They not only treat everyone with kindness, but they are extremely flexible which is a relief when you might not know how long you need to be in Rochester.
