Although this property appeared to be under construction [frontside of the complex]; overall it was extremely run-down & dirty. Most of the exterior doors were dented-in.
Room 120 [a handicap unit] located on the backside of the property, where there were several people standing around outside of the rooms, sitting on the curb & in some of the vehicles - smoking & drinking. ALL eyes 👀 on us! Nobody said a word, they just stared at us. We felt very unsafe & I was scared some of these guys were going to do something to us. I didn't know whether these folks were a gansters or what!?! We kept calm, unloaded our luggage from my car & entered our room [safely] without incident. Nevertheless this was an extremely daunting experience.
RE: Room/Interior
There was mildew all over the shower tiles & black spots on the shower curtain; packing tape wrapped around the shower-head; drywall was damaged & crumbing (bathroom). The broken headboard, T.V & remote were all greasy/covered in fingerprints.
Queen size bed, (2) flat pillows, no bedspread (AKA. Comforter) and to make matters even worse... I smelled urine while laying on this bed! Fearing the worst... I layed fully clothed- on top of the bedding, too frightened to fall asleep. After this experience, I will never stay at another motel 6 property.
