Cold water the last two days
Room service only once out of seven days
Never received any additional coffee
Had to repeatedly ask for fresh towels
And tp was an issue had to ask for more

The staff was nice, the breakfast good.
When I walked into my room it smelled musty, the paid was chipping off the bathroom door, the carpet was stained, and the bathroom fixtures were rusty. It was hard to turn on the faucet in the tub and I had black flying bugs in my bathroom all days of my stay. The staff was amazing, but the hotel just needs to be updated/refreshed.

Surprised by the other ratings. Disappointed.

The 2nd day, we came down for breakfast a few minutes after 9AM following a family wedding the night prior, and the lady working the front desk came into the kitchen area behind us, closed one of the doors and started turning off all of the warmers, etc. It seemed she was shutting down. I apologized and said I didn't realize we had missed breakfast hours. We would just grab some things for my husband and daughter, who were still sleeping upstairs. I quickly sent my son up to wake them so that they could eat. The employee came around again and asked if everyone was done, so again I got the feeling that we were imposing, and needed to hurry up. We arrived back in our room a little before 10AM, and I double checked guest info binder. Sure enough, breakfast was supposed to be served until 10AM on this day, so I'm not sure what the hurry was. The breakfast both days was just ok. Toast, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, coffee, juice and water. There was a "cheerios" dispenser, but the cereal was stale. The bathrooms were dirty, backed up tub drains, stained linens, etc. Hot water ran out when my husband was showering in the afternoon. The pool was cold with a dingey ring around it, and no chlorine smell. There were multiple plain white busses in the lot each afternoon, and many people sitting in the corridors at all hours. No one caused any issues, but it was uncomfortable traveling with young children.

Worst hotel stay ever!
Publié le 9 août 2024 sur HotelsMy stay was horrible! First night getting there after 14.50 hours of working in the hot humidity we had a clogged tub, couldn’t shower right of way. They changed our room to a poolside view, like that mattered! Then Thursday night after 12.0 hours of work! No HOT WATER! Had no choice but to take a cold shower!! Not good at all! They would not accommodate our stay because I booked the stay through a hotel app. Never if I ever have to go back out to Rock Falls will I stay there again! 2 👎👎 DOWN!

The outlet in the bathroom did not work. We borrowed an extension cord from the front desk so my wife could dry her hair. The pool was not heated, too cold to swim. The hot water in the shower did not work. The sliding glass door to
the pool area was not locked. The hotel was the low point of my return for my 60th High School class reunion. The staff could not or would not fix outlet or cold water problem.

So first impression was driving up swing 3 buses of immigrant workers loading and unloading at hotel. Hotel was a budget cheap hotel so didn’t expect high quality but….drinks from soda machine were all warm, there are decorative lights surg outside windows making it hard to have dark room when sleeping, dead bug on duvet in am when woke up, dirty bar of soap in shower. Did offer a small hot breakfast better than higher priced hotel across street. Older outdated hotel but again you get what you pay for
