Run down and Dirty

We actually refused to stay in this property rental. It was so dirty, smelly, and damaged. Pet odors and stains on carpets, the couch, and even drapes. Screens were damaged, letting in pests. Dead flies on the dining table. Filth behind where the garbage can sits. Complained to the management and had to search for another place to stay that night at 7:00 PM after a 9 hour drive to Rockaway Beach.

We deeply apologize for the unwanted critters you experienced during your stay. Our local staff did offer to professionally treat the home and when not able, attempted to provide many other avenues to rid the home from pests. We regret that these measures were not effective and that this detracted from your vacation experience. We have forwarded them to our local team to avoid future complaints. Not as expected

The unit was quite run down, not clean, and had an over whelming pet odor. Furniture and carpets in bedrooms were very dirty, and a greasy film on stove and cabinets. There is no WiFi and cell reception is poor. Overall I was very disappointed.

Our local manager assured us that the home has been cleaned by a lead housekeeper and inspected by the local team. Additionally, the homeowner is working on getting new furniture and having the carpets cleaned and we appreciate your feedback as an opportunity to improve. The WiFi can be a bit spotty in the area during peak season and we apologize for any inconvenience. We hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

Cute place needs some sprucing up.

We liked the little cottage well enough. It was a great situation for us as we traveled with our dog and it was a last-minute trip. The queen size mattress was not comfortable at all, and we did suggest it be replaced. It was basically clean but needs some attention to a few areas. It is very close to the beach and that was nice. We could hear some noise from our neighbors but it wasn't terrible.

Property was very clean but a bit on the shabby side. At least it is very close to the beach. I expected a little bit nicer for the money. And, the internet connection was terrible.

Nice little getaway

It was just perfect for the price! It was extremely clean and very welcoming. It was nice to be so close to the beach with easy access which gave my daughter with Down syndrome the opportunity to visit the beach several times a day without any difficulty. We will be booking our next vacation there.and I loved the fact it was dog friendly with a small pet fee. It was comfortable, quiet and relaxing!

Couch sleeping

Fiancé had to sleep on couch and I had to sleep in living room on both twin “lumpy” mattresses. No one should be allowed to rent a place like this if you can’t provide a reasonable mattress for sleeping. Mold in bathroom, cat hair or something on window seal, hole bottom of door missing and it was advertised with full size refrigerator.

Easy Walk to the Beach

Starfish 3

The main room, kitchen and bath were ok. No washcloths in the bath, baseboards and carpets need to be cleaned (brown dribbly stains in front of bed). The queen bed was awful! Springs felt through it, stained, and no mattress pad was in place. Ugly box spring not covered. Squeaky, saggy and uncomfortable. We left a day early.....

“Cleaned” beds were dirty filled sand and hair. Bathroom has mold. Pots and pans are unsafe to use.

Lack of attention, empathy and respect. Hard to find- did not have clear labels to know which apartment you were staying at. Lock box- lacked label to know which one to insert your code. Place was not cleaned, smelled like wet dog, had dog hairs all over the floor and couch, beds sheets were not washed from previous users, pots and pans were too old had too much ware, mold in the bathroom. When contacting Vacasa, politely spoke with 3 different employees explained the situation, the last rep transferred me to their supervisor to cancel and get a refund put me on hold for over an hour and our call was disconnected. Later I received a text asking me to rate the cleanliness of the place explained the situation and provided pics. Rep apologized told me to they would put a service ticket( nothing happened from that) The rep. Ended with if there’s anything else I can help you with pls let us know. That was the cherry on the cake for me.
