Fantastic place and hosts

We arrived at 11pm and Alex came to welcome us. He was so Nice!
The house was clean and the towels and sheets smell so good.
The private beach is only a few steps from the house
We would go back anytime

Rest and relaxation
Publié le 21 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayA beautiful location, just a short distance from so many things. Our plan was to rest and relax, we couldn't have asked for a better place to do that. Just watching the tide come in and go out each day with lovely Fall views was perfect! Alex and Siobhan were fabulous hosts with great suggestions. Thank you!

Charming, relaxing stay
Publié le 10 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayAlex and Siobhan have a comfortable, well-outfitted little place. The location was perfect for us, with the lovely small beach at the back of the house and the proximity to other quaint seaside towns. Communication was excellent and very helpful.

A very nice spot to stay

Nice place to relax on the patio and a little walk down to the private beach.
Rockland is a nice town - plenty of places to stroll and places to eat - a good place as a base for our trip.

Good View!
Publié le 18 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayCentrally located - 2 hrs from the Portland airport and 2 hours from Acadia National Park. Alex is very warm and he and Siobahn were very responsive.

Great Stay

Felt cozy. Kitchen had all of the essential equipment and salt and pepper.
Walk to the water was easy and closer than expected.
Would stay here again.

Maine Get Away
Publié le 27 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay. The hosts were lovely. We enjoyed the ocean view, ocean smells and walks on our little beach. The house had everything we needed including very comfortable beds. The AC’s and washer and dryer were a plus. Also the deck was wonderful for us!! The view from the kitchen was great too.

Ocean side getaway

The beach and yard are shared with the other guests. It is not a swimming beach. Amenities are few, but a quiet and comfortable stay.

Thank you for your review. Disappointed you only gave us a single three star rating as we work so hard to ensure all guest’s satisfaction. It appears your poor rating was based on it being an apartment rather than a single family house. The Property Description says a two bedroom apartment in a duplex house which reads very clear. In fact many of our previous guests have said in their reviews that it is exactly as advertised.
Regarding amenities, all amenities advertised are supplied. If you are looking for amenities such as a swimming pool, sauna, spa or a health club gym you should book a resort.
During low tide guests love to look for sea glass and other treasures. During high tide some guests swim and lots of guests love to walk around the small sandy beach.
The only thing shared is the access to the water. .

Rockland/Glencove Maine Oceanfront Cottage

The owner’s welcome was outstanding and their cottage was well stocked with every possible kitchen accessory, all necessary paper and cleaning products,
Bathroom and bedroom linens and soaps and even assorted welcoming coffee and chocolate.
Couldn’t not have been better!

Peaceful getaway

The host made sure we had all the information we needed prior to and upon arrival, and met us for check in, which was a nice touch. The view is spectacular from multiple windows and the deck is the perfect place to relax and read while looking out at the ocean. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the house has A/C which was appreciated on some warm and humid nights. The bed was super comfy and linens were included. It is close to nearly anything you might need and to Rockland and Camden for some quaint downtown areas with nice restaurants and shops. Overall a great rental in a beautiful part of Maine. Thank you!
