Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Rooms are comfortable with enough space. We ate in the restaurant and found the food good. Their Covid precaution were sensible and followed by the guests. Only downside is our room was very hot (no a/c) so sleeping was hard.

Hidden Gem!
Posted Aug. 20, 2018 on HotelsThis place is a hidden gem. This was the most peaceful place I’ve ever stayed and it is in such a beautiful area. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Very comfortable hotel room and very clean. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and it was very reasonably priced and we had breakfast buffet the next morning for €12 each and it was very good. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone passing through who wants a very relaxing stay.

A hidden gem of a hotel and location.

Pros: We loved the family friendly and inclusive atmosphere of the hotel. And the cost is surprisingly low.
Cons: I can't think of anything that needs to be improved upon.
Location: Besides LEGOLAND, the local church is a must see. The exterior is understated and simple, but the interior rivals those in Salzburg and Venice.
Our Hotel reservation was a last minute decision for an overnight stay, after spending the day at LEGOLAND Germany. The hotel is located in a small rural village surrounded by rolling farmlands and orchards. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was clean, quiet, but a little cramped for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, but fine for a one night stay. The bed and roll-away bed were both comfortable.
The evening we arrived, we sat under the canopy of a small orchard of their outdoor restaurant. We ordered a cheese plate and drinks as a lite evening snack. What they brought us was a large platter of cheeses, breads, and grapes. There was so much food we asked people join us. It was a great opportunity to meet other guests and make new friends. It was one of most remembered evening on our 3 week vacation. The morning breakfast was fresh and delicious.
If we come to this part of Germany again, we plan to stay at the Klostergasthof Roggenburg hotel longer, but in two rooms. Maybe just one room and leave the kids at home.

Great hotel
Posted Jun. 11, 2016 on HotelsGreat Hotel with very clean rooms, Superb service from all of the staff that we met, from the front desk to the waitress, we visited during a huge trade show period and the hotel did not take advantage and bill us with regular tariffs.
