Great location near the Coliseum and metro, with a lively square and many restaurants at the base of the building.
Note that this is a B&B, not a hotel. They need to know when to expect you, since the door on the street has an electronic lock.
Stopped for a night in Rome before continuing to Napoli. We arrived late so we had to go to where the key holder was since it was more of a guest house style. The room was different than pictures but very lovely. Although we didn't use a life for our heavy luggage which was challenging.
The apartment has a door to the (large) fold out bed in the sitting area so great for a teen that needs their own space. At most 15 mins stroll to Forum etc. 35 stroll to Pantheon etc - could not be in a better place for seeing the sights. Rooms clean and have everything needed - it was not warm enough to have the air con on when we went but assumed it would be switched on if asked. Glazing makes the room nice and quiet from the busy square. Host was willing to help with any aspect and breakfast each day was a bonus. We would go back again at the drop of a hat!

IN funky Italian neighborhood
You stay here to get a feel for the everyday happenings in this neat funky area called Monti
I stay right at the Piazza Monti and the sights and sounds were enjoyable along with being 5 min
walk to the Colosseo. I would stay again the caretaker is very nice lady
The perfect place! Right in rione Monti s heart, one of the best area to be in Rome, trendy area alive with nightlife, fashion and a lot of restaurant. The rooms are immaculate, and nicely furnished, continental breakfast is served directly in your room. There is a small elevator, where one person can ride with his bags. Nicely priced, Tania, the b e b attendant is always there to help you with anything you might need. I'll be back very soon! Wifi works perfectly!
It's a few apartments in a resident's 3 floor old house. It has a spiral staircase with small lift installed in the middle of stairs shaft. Gests received key for a room and for a lift, code for a main door. One lady is constantly on site, brings a small bakery breakfast and making daily service.
The hotelkeeper was amazing... kind, cordial and welcoming. Only two blocks away from the Coliseum, and next to a small piazza. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast Was served on time.
We enjoyed the comfort of our stay at this cosy apartment. This is very close to Colosseum. Have plenty of food joints around.
In case of more than two persons, for someone to sleep in the living room, the bit noisy mini fridge may be switched off.
A bit tricky to find on arrival but very conveniently located once found, comfortable enough for our 4 day stay. In a busy neibourhood and was noisy when the windows were open but good soundproofing once closed. Would recommend it for those who want to be close to all the main sights of Rome as most things are within easy walking distance. loved seeing the collisium every time we steeped out the front door.
It was a nice bed & breakfast room with an upgraded bathroom. The workers were nice, and the breakfasts were delicious. It's also walking distance to restaurants, the subway, the main train station in Rome, and a lot of tourist destinations. It is next to a popular plaza, but the dual pane windows block most of the noise. If you stay here, make sure you look for the address (there is no sign that indicates the location). The entrance is on the 3rd floor.
This hotel was great, more like an apartment then hotel. The owner couldn't be more helpful, free internet, basic breakfast(which is all we needed) delivered each morning, good size room with cooking facilities, great location and best of all was the price. Would definatly recommend.
The appartement is very nice and big, and it is possible to walk to every place in town. But when we arrived at the adress the first day, no one was there to open, and there are no signs at the door, which makes it hard to find. The only employee we met, could not speak english, wich made it difficult to ask her any questions. We did not get any information from her, example what to do with the keys when we were leaving again. The brekfast was not very good..
Great little place. Very clean and comfortable. We stayed here before but since has had a facelift which was very nice. Only 3 rooms but personal service and friendly. When you come out of the front door you are in front of the Colleseum. Can walk to all sights. Nice restaurants all around. In a nice little Piazza. Would highly recommend.
Can't wiat to go back - fantastic apartment and host.
The location, size of the apartment, cleaniness and the friendly host and staff made our stay at Sub Urbe Roma, so memorable that we would definitely stay there again.
An excellent hotel.. 5 min walking distance to Colesseum. A little difficult to find at first as there is no sign stating Sub Urbe etc. It is not far from the little fountain if you are looking for it. Only dissapointment was that the internet didn't work, but there was a cheap internet cafe direct across the road and it was very good. The lift was out, but only a problem if you had lots of luggage as it is on the third floor. Air conditioning worked but didn't really need it in September. The facilities in the room was excellent with a fully functioning kitchen plus use of expresso coffee maker machine in the reception area. Felt very secure. This accommodation represents low risk, great value for money, and a great Italian experience. Housekeeping and cleanliness was superb.
