CATFISHED! Don't be fooled by the photos of a clean, updated, nicely maintained hotel in "Historic Downtown Rome, GA". Pulling into the parking lot I questioned if we had the right place. Dirty, rusty metal around light fixtures & closet rod. Threadbare carpet, mold on bathroom ceiling, no cover on bathroom exhaust fan and wires handing out, electrical plate in the bathroom was sticky & grimy. Seriously, just wipe things down every once in a while! When we were leaving for dinner I heard a woman in the parking lot getting out of her car say,"Are you sure this is the right place? It doesn't look like the pics". Sis got catfished too. They obviously used stock photos bc even the landscape plants were different. The pool was closed for the season but just looking out the door I could see it was giving "municipal pool" vs the vacation pool advertised. Also, this is NOT close to the downtown area and NOT walkable to restaurants. The young man checking us in was friendly & polite.

Tge rooms were immaculate and the renovations are excellent.

It was an average stay i stayed here a few years ago and it seems to have dropped some in quality

The staff was all very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The plaster was pealing some in the bathroom and there was no plug for the tub, but that didn’t affect our stay. Breakfast was adequate…the only problem we had was trying to get out of the parking lot- heavy traffic and a fairly blind curve. We used the back exit and went around the block. Otherwise, a nice reasonably priced hotel, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks

Outdated, rusted, broken fixtures with poor lighting. Strong bleach smell in bedding. Hot water with good pressure but mold on shower head. Everything empty both days at breakfast and cranky staff saying i just filled it or i just got here, you must not be using it. The air conditioner was so loud it was hard to sleep but it did keep the room cool. The bed was decent once i got used to the bleach smell and exhausted by the loud ac unit. Spent as much time away as possibly. Ok if your looking for a dingy of dingiest stays. Slightly cheaper than other places but Fyi, pay a little extra for mych needed comfort!
