Formello
Publié le 1 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayNous avons trouvé le logement un peu en dessous de gamme par rapport au prix payé.
Il n y a que 3 belles chambres spacieuses, il y a 2 chambres avec des petits lits qui ne convient pas pour des adultes. La cuisine du bas a un lave vaisselle qui fait tout disjoncter, nous avons fait la vaisselle à la main tous les jours Sinon il aurait fallu remonter toute la vaisselle au 1er étage et la redescendre. C'est compliqué quand on est 11 personnes.Par contre kate nous a conseillé pour pleins de choses et je l en remercie.
Logement a revoir car il devient vétuste.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I would like to address the issues you raise. The single beds are all standard sizes, there are no small beds. Some singles are 80cm by 190cm and others are 90cm by 200cm. The various bed options and configurations are stated in the property description and clearly shown in the photos. I always encourage future guests to read the description thoroughly and look at the photos to make sure the property meets their requirements.
I am not sure why you didn't want to use the main kitchen upstairs, where most of the kitchen equipment is kept and where the dishwasher was functioning perfectly. The downstairs area is intended as a secondary space where we keep a second fridge and hob for the convenience of guests. We do not advertise as having 2 kitchens and I like to consider this area an "extra" to offer guests if they need it. I am sorry that the dishwasher in this area was not functioning but you could easily have switched to the main kitchen of the house and there was no need for you to wash anything by hand or move dishes around.
I would like to point out that we follow a regular routine of maintenance and updates to the house. Improvements over just the last 2 years include new windows throughout, newly tiled floors in the lower part of the house, installation of solar panels, boiler and heat pump, new appliances (fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, hob, range hoods), a new bathroom and of course regular repainting etc. Not everything can be new all the time in such a large house, to do otherwise would negatively impact the price guests have to pay so we try to maintain a balance while making sure that everything is kept clean and in working order..

j'aimerais tellement revenir ...............
Publié le 9 sept. 2019 sur HomeAwayPremièrement , la maison est idéalement située, 40 mn de l'aéroport,20/30 mn de Rome et un Market avec Boucherie et Poissonnerie à l'entrée de Formello !!
Que dire ...et bien , nous avons passé un séjour délicieux ,la maison est agréable ,la piscine et ses aménagements ont fait le bonheur des convives !! De plus nous avons eu une météo fantastique soleil pendant tout le séjour et le soir une fraicheur très appréciable ( pas besoin de climatisation !!)
Pas de points négatifs ,ou si peu,c'est vrai qu'il y aurait deux ou trois petites choses à améliorer ,mais dans l'ensemble rien de vraiment important ,car cette maison est idéale pour des vacances en famille ou amis proches, elle est bien aménagée pour recevoir 10 à 12 personnes sans probleme , 2 cuisines bien équipées dont celle du sous-sol très pratique et spacieuse,bref pour cette maison, on frise la perfection !!!
j'ai un aveu à faire ,l'année prochaine je fete mes 60 ans et j'aimerais sincèrement revenir les célébrer ici dans cette maison, avec mes proches !!

A relaxing stay in Formello

Aside from a day trip into Rome, made easy by the comprehensive travel information provided by the host, we were content relax in the pool and make ourselves at home the rest of the time.

The house was a good size… lots of steps which was ok for us but not for those with mobility problems. The rooms were all a decent size and the pool was great.
The outside dining table was spacious but a bit tired.
The beach towels were appreciated as was the hosts help via WhatsApp for any queries.
The walk in the national park nearby is stunning.
The only downside was the heat upstairs. Italy was having an unusual heatwave and the lack of aircon upstairs made sleeping very uncomfortable.

Pool villa in Formello

We appreciated all of the nice touches as well as the supplies left as a courtesy (especially the mosquito coils for enjoying the poolside sunsets at dusk). The host also left us lots of recommendations for things to do in and around Formello but the detailed instructions for getting into Rome by train for us were invaluable. We would highly recommend this home and these hosts!

Ideal for families with teenagers

There were six of us (the youngest being 16) and the terraces and living areas were ideal for being together, but there were also plenty of places for everyone to have their own space if required too. The pool is big and a perfect temperature, great for teenagers. We were there during a heatwave and struggled without aircon in the bedrooms, but the living areas have it so that’s where the teenagers ended up sleeping, the sofa beds and sofas in those areas were all comfortable for sleeping. We didn’t have a car as we were there to completely relax and not go out site seeing every day, but public transport in to Rome was straight forward and ridiculously cheap! The town is only a ten minute walk and there are plenty of shops and restaurants, it’s just pretty steep on the way back. Carrefour do food deliveries and it was so easy, you just need to use chrome if you don’t speak Italian as it will translate for you - we had two deliveries and they arrived within four hours of ordering! We also had a reliable taxi driver on hand for airport transfers and a trip to the Lake, I can recommend Emanuele at Trip2Rome. The location was very peaceful and we felt completely secure at the property. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely home, Kate, we had a wonderful, relaxing holiday.

Perfekt
Publié le 14 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayWir (zwei befreundete Familien mit drei Teenagern zwichen 15 und 17 Jahren) hatten zwei erholsame Wochen in der Villa Valle Sorbo. Das Haus ist exakt wie beschrieben und sogar eher großzügiger geschnitten als es auf den Bildern wirkt. Die Aufteilung der Zimmer ist perfekt für große Familien oder befreundete Gruppen. Ausreichend Platz für gesellige Zusammenkünfte, aber auch genügend Rückzugsraum. Die Aussenanlage ist liebevoll gestaltet und der Pool ein Traum!
Die Küche bietet alles, was man braucht. Und sollte doch einmal etwas fehlen (Stichwort Toaster) wird umgehend für Ersatz gesorgt. An dieser Stelle nochmals: Danke Kate!
Apropos Kate: sie ist eigentlich immer erreichbar und stand uns auf Wunsch mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Dass sich ihre Gäste wohlfühlen ist ihr ein großes Anliegen; das ist deutlich zu spüren.
Noch ein kurzes Wort zur Gegend: das Umland lädt zu zahlreichen interessanten Ausflügen ein. Wobei man sich immer auf ca. 30-60 Minuten Autofahrt einstellen muss. Aber auch darauf wird in der Ausschreibung ja hingewiesen.

Amazing place

Situated in a beautiful and quiet area this architect designed house was just what we needed for a relaxing holiday. The pool and the pool area was just right for both our 8 year old and older teenagers.The house was clean and spacious with a lot of different areas to find privacy and it was nice to find a rental home for once with a well equipped kitchen. Owners were very friendly and helpful and we can highly recommend this place.
