Great location

It has a lot of space and a lot of steps which isn’t great for carrying luggage and groceries up to the main floor and then more steps for the open loft bedroom. We were fine with it, but keep that in mind.
The bedrooms were a bit warm. We couldn’t lock the door when leaving because the code lock wasn’t working at the time we were there.
We had to watch our water use because it could run out. We had one towel & wash cloth per person.
The cabin needs some work for sure!! The railing on the nice deck is loose, there were can lights hanging down. The storage area is messy which is where the laundry is located. Couldn’t get the TV’s working in the bedrooms. There is a light on the stove/oven that stays on. I understand you wouldn’t want to put expensive things in a rental, but it could use some updating.

Amazing Location

Quick Finger Lakes Getaway
Publié le 18 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWhat a wonderful retreat on the western slopes of Cayuga lake. The views are stunning and the accommodations are perfect for a comfortable stay. When the breeze blows, you enjoy the sweet smell of the many grape varietals growing literally all around you. Our only regret was staying only two nights. We are already planning a return for next summer.

Horrible experience
Publié le 21 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayThe cabin didn't have enough water for 4 people to even take one shower a day. Only a few of the lights in the cabin worked. The refrigorator light was not working. The road to the cabin was severly washed out making it rough to acess. The owners representative was not very accessible and his only response was to try to send more water when he could The listing says it sleeps eight, when the max is really six (unless sleeping on a couch or chair qualifies). I am not surre how they figure eight. The pull-out couch in the basement is next to the mechanical room that ran all night and made it impossible to sleep (maybe due to the water problem) The view is good, but that is it.

Michael, this homeowner works hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, and they would like to clarify the following:
-We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the water issue. We understand that it was resolved promptly by 10 am on the same day it was reported. We are puzzled by the mention of a lack of responsiveness on our part since we have a detailed record of text messages showing that we responded to your inquiries within minutes throughout your stay.
-Our listing clearly states that there are two beds and two pull-out couches that sleep 2 guests each. We're sorry if there was any confusion regarding this matter.
-We wish you had reached out to us during your stay to address the issues you mentioned, rather than leaving a dissatisfied voicemail post-checkout with a demand for a 50% refund and a threat of a negative review.
We believe that open communication during your stay would have allowed us to address your concerns in a more timely manner and ensure a more enjoyable experience for you and your party.

Cornell Graduation Weekend

Perfect get away place

It was cold but the worst of the storm missed us due to the micro climate of the Finger lakes. The property is beautifully located on the side of a hill in the middle of a winery estate. The views were excellent and right in the middle of several wineries.
The property itself is clean and roomy. The two of us never actually used the lower level bar area. Was able to make a nice Christmas eve dinner but did have to scramble a bit with finding pans for items going into the oven.

Perfect Spot

The host was accommodating for a slightly earlier check-in and any questions we had. The kitchen could use baking sheets but otherwise had everything else. Definitely recommend!
