Points faibles : Propreté, commodités
The first night we arrived to our house only to find it’s run down, tired and rather grotty. Thousands of euros spent we, yet the house feels like a basic 3 star rather than the solid 4 we expected. The reality is nothing like the photos we saw on Expedia. The shower is so small I can’t even bend to wash my legs, there is mould on the tiles. The bed only has a thin sheet, not even a duvet or blanket to get a good nights sleep and the mattress is rock hard, so you wake up with back ache.
We were thankful the staff at Albarella moved us to a better house, which was the expected standard, although it wasted a day of our holiday repacking and unpacking. However the overall standard of the resort still remained subpar.
The constant power cuts whenever you used any household appliances were a pain. The houses have limited electricity power we were told, be mindful of what you use. That’s an understatement... need to run the dishwasher, make sure all lights and AC are off or you’ll be treking out in the dark to reset the fuse in the middle of the night. Same with the oven or washing machine, only run appliances if you’re willing to sit in darkness with no AC that evening! It seemed less of a problem to run an appliance during the day, perhaps because less people are home. Also WiFi in the house is limited so my data has almost run out.
The inflatable and the slide at the pool are great fun for kids, it was our saving grace. However the whole place could do with a clean.
