Hello there, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. We pride ourselves in the many amazing reviews from happy guests who return to what most people think is the most idyllic spot for a house on the island. It seems you didn’t read my email which I send to all guests giving them so much advice and things to do on this beautiful island. I have a photo of the welcome email sent and when it was sent if you’d like me to forward it to you? It’s so unfortunate about the bed. A sweet boy spilled his orange juice on it. Our guest has since confirmed. The laundry company replaced the mattress cover as soon as they received it from me. Sadly you were there before it was changed which was on the day you left. Yes we are so lucky to be in an area where there’s no artificial light. The stars are amazing. Glad your phone torch worked for the dogs. We did chat quite a bit during your stay. I wish you’d told me about the toilet rolls as I would have let you know where there are plenty more in the house. So sorry. We are replacing the lightbulb. Thanks so much for bringing that to our attention. It’s difficult to know these things unless guests tell us as obviously the cleaners work in the daytime. The radiator in the spare room was working well as you know. Convection sends the air upwards and heats the room. Cupboard or not makes no difference. I’m so sorry you felt it was cold. We did send someone up immediately to check everything as you know. And we have not in the last 10 years had anyone complain about being cold in there but obviously I’m so sorry that you did. At great expense I’ve replaced the cooker and upgraded so many things in the house. It’s my family home as you know and I treasure it and like to rent it to nice people. It’s a light airy kitchen with two windows so plenty of space for airflow when you are cooking with that beautiful sea breeze. We hope you are happy with the response but frankly I think complaining privately to me about not having a pizza stone is strange. If you’d read my email that I sent you would have seen all of the wonderful things we do provide at Kildavannan Schoolhouse. And a pizza stone isn’t on the list I’m afraid. I aim to make this special house available to lovely families at the lowest price possible. £170 per night for a house that sleeps 6/8. It is such a pleasure to be able to rent it and I’m always delighted with the reviews. However it’s clear my house is not for you. I do hope you find a place that suits your needs better next time. Hi Nathalie, I'm so happy that you had a good time, despite the weather. Thank you for your 5 star review. I'm extremely grateful. I'm very sorry about the Woodburner but I have had to ask people not to use it until it gets a proper service. Just for health and safety and short term letting licensing requirements. I hope you saw this on my details as I do want guests to be aware when they book. Hopefully we'll be up and running again very soon!
