A wonderful, peaceful getaway!
Publié le 14 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here over a weekend recently and were really pleased that we discovered such a wonderful place! Bobby is a great host, and met our car when we drove up. He met us at the cabin with our luggage. The cabin was fantastic! The bedroom is inside the main part of the original cabin, and is very relaxing. The mattress, sheets, blanket and pillows are of high quality and are very comfortable. There is plenty of storage in period pieces. There is also plenty of light.
There is an additional room with two twin daybeds, and a bar height large table with two barstools. This area also serves as the kitchen, with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (they provided the coffee) and other things to allow you to eat in the cabin. There are other nice touches, such as a snack basket, bottled water in the frig, and breakfast coupons to local eateries. The bathroom is well lighted and has expensive oversized fluffy towels.
The front porch has high-backed rocking chairs facing beautifully maintained grounds. It was so relaxing sitting on the porch and enjoying the quiet of being out in the country. We had such a wonderful time that we are going back, and we highly recommend the Little Colony for a peaceful, relaxing, top-notch stay.

Hosts Mary Kay and Bob welcomed us with home made cookies, the little kitchen stocked with coffee and snacks, and fridge with waters and champagne! The front porch was perfect to sit a spell and relax after shopping. And the beautiful grounds were a slice of heaven! Look forward to staying here again!
