A wonderful, peaceful getaway!
We stayed here over a weekend recently and were really pleased that we discovered such a wonderful place! Bobby is a great host, and met our car when we drove up. He met us at the cabin with our luggage. The cabin was fantastic! The bedroom is inside the main part of the original cabin, and is very relaxing. The mattress, sheets, blanket and pillows are of high quality and are very comfortable. There is plenty of storage in period pieces. There is also plenty of light. There is an additional room with two twin daybeds, and a bar height large table with two barstools. This area also serves as the kitchen, with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (they provided the coffee) and other things to allow you to eat in the cabin. There are other nice touches, such as a snack basket, bottled water in the frig, and breakfast coupons to local eateries. The bathroom is well lighted and has expensive oversized fluffy towels. The front porch has high-backed rocking chairs facing beautifully maintained grounds. It was so relaxing sitting on the porch and enjoying the quiet of being out in the country. We had such a wonderful time that we are going back, and we highly recommend the Little Colony for a peaceful, relaxing, top-notch stay.

Delightful!
Little Colony felt like "home away from home." Hosts Mary Kay and Bob welcomed us with home made cookies, the little kitchen stocked with coffee and snacks, and fridge with waters and champagne! The front porch was perfect to sit a spell and relax after shopping. And the beautiful grounds were a slice of heaven! Look forward to staying here again!

We came to Round Top to experience the bluebonnets this year. We absolutely loved the cabin. Everything was clean and there were personal touches here and there. Loved the feeling of staying in an old cabin and really enjoyed the fire pit. We would definitely stay here again. :-)

Mother/Daughter weekend
This cabin is a perfect place to retreat and have a relaxing and wonderful weekend! The beds are very comfortable and the pillows are great! Everything is so clean and the porch with rocking chairs is just lovely! Bob and Mary Kay are so kind and welcoming, they have great recommendations for shops and food. You will have a wonderful time choosing this place as your time away!

Cozy, restful getaway
The online photos don't do this property justice! It is incredibly clean and cozy. The A/C works so great; the room can get super cold if you want that (which I do). The entire property is picturesque, with a water fountain, gazebo, & outdoor seating areas. The front porch was idyllic for coffee in the AM and wine in the PM. It is worth noting that the cabin operates like a duplex, with an A door and B door next to one another. Our second night there were other renters we could hear on our shared patio; I intend to rent both sides next time to make it extra private! The owners were so lovely, kind and helpful. They gave us privacy but were very responsive when we wanted restaurant recommendations. There's no bath tub; it's shower only, which would be my only regret. Otherwise it is an ideal spot. SO close to the antique show (just down the road), and yet a world away in peace & quiet. Will definitely stay there again!

We travel to Round Top 2 times a year for the Texas Antiques Week. This particular trip was The Most Memorable due to the fact that we stayed at Little Colony with Robert and Mary Kay. The accommodations were fabulous and the attention to detail was just perfect. From the fire pit (lit by Robert for us) to the front porch rockers to the comfortable beds, everything was unbelievable. "Thank You!" Mary Kay and Robert for making this girls trip one we won't soon forget!

Came for Round Top. Location is PERFECT. The cabin in quiet with wonderful amenities (excellent mattress, bedding), snacks and beverages are complimentary and after a long day shopping were so nice. You can be very comfortable booking this cabin. Far exceeded our expectations. Have already booked for next year.
