The Cabin...a cozy little retreat

A “tiny house” cabin located in a large grassy area in the Bull Mountains. It is in close proximity to our other listing, “The Dugout” which may be an option to rent that eould accommodate a larger family. The dimensions of the cabin are 12 x 20 ft on the inside and has another 4 ft on the outside for the front covered porch. It sits back from a main gravel road, but is usually very quiet and we have abundant wildlife that may wander through!

Electrical issue
The tiny house/cabin was very cute but smelled like wet dogs. The house was very hot when I arrived. My car registered 93 and when I opened the door to the tiny house it was at least 20 degrees hotter air that hit me in the face. No AC, no screen on one of the windows that could have created with the only other window I could open. I actually could not open the window without a screen or I would have anyway. Left the door open without a screen door to try to get some of the heat out. Called the owner. She had someone come drop off 2 fans while I was in town picking up some groceries and promised to get things fixed the next day. That never happened and things got worse. I plugged in one fan as there was only one outlet that I could get to work, stood it in the open door for the night and tried for sleep through the night on the sofa, main level. After 2 hours the power went out except for the bathroom and the one plug supporting the outlet behind the fridge. Thankfully the power still worked in the bathroom for the compostable toilet and one light. (by the way, compostable toilet was not specified in the description although...it was fine.) I used the flashlight on my phone to look for a battery lantern or flashlight, nothing available. With the light from my phone, I found the breaker box and flipped the breakers to no avail. I called and left a message the next morning and went about my business. To the owners credit she refunded 2 of my 3 miserable days.

This tiny house is beautiful and comfortable! We loved it, and all of us including the dogs enjoyed the surrounding neighborhood. The beds were very cozy and we slept wonderfully. Read the guest information book for an extra special stay.

We really enjoyed our stay EXCEPT that it was unclear that the 'loft' was only about 3-4 feet tall and you could not stand up! We are elderly (late 60's early 70's) and this was not clear in the description. If you have issues with climbing steep stairs or for the elderly (or claustrophobic like my sister) this is not ideal. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Montana hideaway
My wife and I stayed here on our way from Minnesota to Idaho. The property is in an amazing location in the hills. The setting is peaceful and calm. The property managers are lovely people that live nearby. Our evening here was peaceful and relaxing and we would love to stay here again in the future!

Awesome!!
A great private getaway. Tiny house was just perfect for us. It had all of the amenities of a "big house" We enjoyed sitting on the front porch every morning, taking in the scenery and wildlife. Our hostess, (Linda) was very accommodating and attentive, yet respectful to our privacy. We only seen her at check-in, but she assured us that she was available for any needs or questions. She made sure we had everything we needed. She even washed our towels and wash clothes while we were out traveling. Highly recommended for an affordable, Big Sky escape from the current "craziness" of the world. We'll be back for sure!!
