Normandy for the older traveller
Publié le 23 mai 2022 sur HomeAwayThis cottage is basic and simple,and ideal for the younger family( as,to be fair,indicated in their photos). But I chose it from a very limited selection of country cottages with disabled access...it did have ground floor rooms,but the bathroom was not easy to use,and the territory outside was too rough to negotiate, except for patio...it was not ideal for the elderly disabled.
Another disadvantage was sat lack of local restaurants!
However,the countryside was stunning,and the hosts delightful,welcoming and helpful. We did enjoy our stay.

We were a bit surprised that you said that there was a lack of local restaurants, whilst there are many in Alencon, Argentan, La Ferte Mace etc. There were 3 restaurants in Carrouges, but they didn't survive due to the covid pandemic. But in Carrouges there is a new, small, creperie, and there are 2 bars (Chez Marine and Bar des Sports). And this is only 7 km's from our place.
