Peaceful Mountain Getaway
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayNestled in the whispering pines of Ruidoso. Beautiful 2 bedroom 21/2 bath beauty. The neighborhood was quiet, cool and clean. Watch the hummingbirds on the balcony, See the occasional deer strolling by as well as turkeys. As an added bonus, hear the Elk bugling in the canyons. Great experience, great location.

Bedroom location misunderstanding
Publié le 7 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband isn't able to do stairs very well, and we kept confirming that the master bedroom was on the 1st level. We were told that BOTH of the bedrooms were on the first level. However, we didn't realize that the rest of the house was on the 2nd level, which meant we had stairs. Next time we will confirm that it's a 1-story property, so that we don't have stairs to contend with. That was our only problem. Otherwise, the cabin was awesome!!

Ruidoso fire

Trees!
Publié le 8 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay at Eagle Rest was everything I imagined it would be. The house is nestled in the trees, giving it a warm and cozy feeling. I have to say we fell in love with the town of Ruidoso. Its charming and welcoming. I would consider moving there. The last thing I would like to add is the way the owners handled our misfortune. On our way back from our day trip from Santa Fe a woman passed her stop sign and we were not able to avoid her. My car was totaled but we were all okay but stranded in Moriarty. The owners were not only understanding but also arranged for us to stay another night to recover at a extremely reasonable cost. I can not say enough about what a big deal that was for us. So If the owner of Eagles Rest reads this.. Thank you Sooo very much, Sooo. We loved your beautiful home

Beautiful Views

We spent time on most days just sitting on the back deck soaking in the views and the sounds and sights of birds flittering from tree to tree. It was very peaceful and beautiful! The town and surrounding areas were very nice as well. The restaurants we went to had good food. Overall it was one of our top vacations. We will be returning!
