Just what's needed
Posted Aug. 16, 2024 on HotelsIt's too bad a guy has to go all the way to Russell, Kansas to enjoy the Fossil Creek Hotel, but life's like that. Still, it's always a good idea to go there. It's not a typical brand name hotel; it's just nice, quiet, comfortable and friendly....exactly what's needed at the end of a long, straight, hot stretch of Interstate 70!

Good overnight stay on our trip. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. Halls had an odd odor and hall floors looked dirty. But overall decent overnight stay.

This is a cool little hotel! It's clean and inviting. They offered some really cool things! There were free cookies, popcorn, and a free keg...yes, free beer from a keg!! I've never seen anything like that!!! There is a large, warm swimming pool, 3-6 feet deep. There's a 1 foot kiddie pool, a huge hot tub and a sauna. There's free internet, but it's unsecured and pretty slow. The breakfast was great, and they will make you 1 free made-to-order omlette. I will definitely stay here again.

A lovely night's rest!

Not so great.
Posted Jul. 20, 2024 on HotelsWe have stayed here numerous times over the years. Not so happy this time and will probably not come back. Unrepaired broken glass in window. Dissapointing experience this trip.
