Superbe endroit relax, avec toutes les commodités

Super endroit pour explorer Russell et la Bay of islands. Les proprios, Dave et Anita sont super sympas, et nous ont fait sentir comme chez nous. On a pu profiter du spa, des kayaks, et prendre des fines herbes dans leur jardin. La meilleure partie? On entendait les kiwis le soir en se couchant.

Great location for a quick getaway. Accommodation was clean. Outdoor areas are shared which was no issue for us

The parking was a grassy area of the lawn, but it was too muddy to use, so we parked on the street. The apartment was very nice, but for the price we were paying, I didn't like being asked to cut back on our comfort for the monetary gain of our host. There were two written statements asking us to be very sparing on water use because a tank of water is expensive, and asked to turn off the heat when we left the property, which meant returning to a cold apartment that took quite a while to warm up. The neighbor told us that the owner lives on the property, but we never met the owner.

Thanks for your feedback, this will help us to improve our service. This winter has been exceptionally wet and unfortunately our grass car park has become muddy (this has not happened in previous years). We are looking at options for additional drainage or to concrete the area. We apologise for the inconvenience this has clearly caused you. I'm sorry you find it offensive being asked to use our scarce resources sparingly. Every resident and accommodation provider in Russell is on tank water so we request guests to conserve water where they can. Yours is the first complaint we have ever had regarding this request. Likewise most people are happy to turn heating off when they head out for the day, the heat pumps in each room are very efficient and warm the space up very quickly. Yes we do live on site however we find that most guests prefer not to be bothered by us. Every booking confirmation includes phone and e-mail contacts and encourages guests to get in touch should they require any assistance whatsoever. Feedback from other guests indicates that most people prefer this level of service as we do when travelling ourselves.

If you’re staring in one of the bottom apartments it is very noisy.

Kokomo Retreat was pristine with a spectacular setting. The kitchen was meticulously organized and the linens were hotel quality. The view from the hot tub melted all your troubles away. Jo was very accommodating and eager to please. I highly recommend staying here whenever possible.

Jo is a wonderful host and we loved staying at Kokomo. The view from spa is wonderful and it is a lovely place to spend a few days. Jo went out of her way to make us welcome.
