Good time
Posted Apr. 18, 2024 on HomeAwayMy sister and I brought our 85 yo mother to watch our nephew(her grandson) play baseball for Louisiana Tech! The owners were awesome to deal with!! VERY HELPFUL! The house is old but nice and the location was the best! Thank you

Great weekend getaway
Posted Sep. 27, 2023 on HomeAwayThe house was perfect for a weekend stay to see my son at La. Tech. The house was used as a wedding/photography venue so there are beautiful professional pics all around the house. We ordered out and enjoyed our meal in the beautiful dining room. The antique furnishings fit the historic home. We enjoyed the cat who came up to visit every morning. It was easy to communicate with the owner.

3 night stay
Posted May 15, 2023 on HomeAwayWe were in town for softball games at LA Tech. After arriving after a late game, the owner messaged me at 11 pm asking about the number of guests. She saw us on the cameras. We had 4 instead of 3 people. The owner then told me she was going to charge me double since I didn't let her know when making the reservations. I did not see that there was a $15 charge for each additional person. We were not charged the extra $90 only $45 after I explained that I did not know about the additional charge per person. The property has a lot of room, however, it needs some attention (peeling plaster and wallpaper and the driveway is in bad shape). It was not very clean and then downstairs does not cool off. We had the thermostat down to 68 and it never went under 74.

First of all I would like to say I sent you a message that my housekeepers had just found some peeling wallpaper on the ceiling. I apologized for it and said we would not bother you, but would have it repaired after your visit. But you had to point that out in order to say something negative. You obviously do not read your correspondence or in a timely manner. I went back and looked and saw that I messaged you about the extra guest at 1:22 pm. You did not read it and reply until 11:00 pm.
It is not my fault that you did not read about the extra guest charge. It is definitely there in my listing. You did later say you did go back and find it. All you had to do was to enter the correct number of guest.
The place was certainly not dirty! We pride ourselves in cleanliness. That is why we are rated the highest rating as property owners. Anyone can see from our other reviews that the place is not dirty. You just got your feathers ruffled because I pointed out to you that you had not paid for an extra guest. This is the exact reason that we have outdoor cameras. Believe me you are not the first. The home just appraised for $650,000 so it is really not too shabby! I am sure if I came to your home I could find some imperfections. By the way I gave you a 5 Star review and did not point out that you brought an extra person.

Short weekend

Pretty setting

There is a tub mat in the bathroom closet. Most guest remove it so we started leaving it in the closet.
