Loves:
The Indochine decor and baroque style architecture.
The bright mustard yellow facade.
Being able to converse with reception comfortably in English.
The gorgeous Grand Bassin.
Room for Improvement:
M Coupole offers priority queue for the monorail up Fansipan, but we were told the first train leaves at 8:00 when in fact it starts at 7:30 am. You can understand our chagrin at realizing this since we were on a tight schedule to go up Fansipan and return by 12 pm that day.
Right across the street is a lovely row of shops - it gets very loud with techno (?) music all the way up until about midnight so bring earplugs if you need to sleep early.
You only get 2 tiny bottles of water each day and you’ve to call housekeeping for more. They don’t change your in-room slippers each days.

5 Stars is not enough. This is the most spectacularly hotel I have ever had the privilege to visit. If you think it looks amazing from the outside, wait till you get inside. The lobby, restaurant and bar have been decorated with such incredible attention to detail. Then the indoor pool takes it to another level. Our room was similarly decorated to the same level with a small balcony overlooking the town and valley beyond. The food in the restaurant is spectacular as was the vast breakfast buffet.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. A special mention of Mai who gave us a guided tour and lots of helpful advice about the surrounding area. I am struggling to think of anything that could be improved upon. A couple of chairs and a small table on each balcony would be nice, but that’s about it.
I would definitely stay here again.

La Coupole in Sapa has a divine pool. HUGE! Going there during the morning hours it was empty. Imagine an indoor pool at least 100 feet in length. Awesome. Staff at the pool - Tranh - I think was his name, was so attentive. Thanks. Front desk staff cordial, helpful and smiling at all times for the client. Thanks to Quiynh (I hope I spelled her name correctly). Al in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. Luxury at a very good price.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, and facilities were top notch. We loved the indoor pool, and the room was very modern, artsy and comfortable. Reception were kind enough to let us check in early as our 4 yr old toddler got travel sick on the way to Sa Pa and needed the rest. Would definitely stay here again and absolutely recommend to anyone else.
