Stay away
Publié le 22 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe booked the property for few days while attending our grandson offsite wedding.
First and foremost the deception for the property is very misleading. Property is NOT anywhere near the water but close by. This property is thru Vacasa and we found there online support team to be very unfriendly. There is upstairs and downstairs but they are only accessible from the outside. The upstairs bathroom leaks to kitchen cabinets. There was blood on the sheets and the floors looked like they have not been swept for months. Main annoying part for us was, house has fireplace and they provided 3 wood logs and when we inquired about it, the Vacasa team didn’t understand what fireplace is and he/she communicated how to build a fire. After few messages back and forth, they stated the following “ Guests are encouraged to purchase firewood locally rather than bringing it from home to prevent the spread of parasites that could harm local forests” we drove over 1000 miles for our grandson wedding and this is the last thing we wanted to hear. We left the house day of wedding as, we felt, no matter what we say, it would’ve an argument with Vacasa team. If you chose to stay here, all the best to you and your loved ones.

Beautiful lakefront property

Perfect cabin
Publié le 11 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is a true cabin located in a slice of heaven. The outdoor areas are spectacular and the beach area is unbelievable. The house needs a little deep cleaning but it worked great for our family. The owners/host were easy and amazing to work with and they could not be more accommodating.

Publié le 17 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe arrived late the first night of a 3 night stay while checking out the backyard noticed by no means is it waterfront it’s quite a walk down to the dock actually then a guy on the porch hollers getting in late huh I said ahh yeah he told me he was the owner a bit strange didnt want to go somewhere and be watched over the so called private hot tub is located between the two houses and all his side windows look right at it nothing private about it the pics of the property don’t even show that house or the other house that exists just a bit below it mouse droppings on kitchen counter in bathroom sink and in shower as well not enjoyable what so ever packed first thing in the morning and left we were there a total of about 10 hrs out of a three night stay that’s how great it was extremely disappointed and honestly lied to because the property is nothing as was described that’s for sure

Lake front

Stayed May 9th-12th, Mother’s Day weekend, got to see the amazing northern lights. Over all it was a great old rustic style cute house. Perfect for a bigger family with older kids. Will definitely stay again. Thank You.

Christmas 2023
Publié le 26 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautiful view of the lake. Minor issue with a water leak but quickly fixed by property manager. House is due for upgrades but everything worked and was adequate for our stay. Pots, pans, baking, and roasting pans were limited, I recommend to bring anything needed. Some basics were limited too, measuring spoons, can opener, wine opener. We bought some and left there for the next visitors. Make sure to note two bedrooms upstairs are not connected on the interior to the main house, you have to go outside, there is a shared bathroom though. Overall we had a good stay.

Its not the houses fault its neglected/ Dangerous Dock
Publié le 8 août 2023 sur HomeAwayTo begin with, upon our arrival, we were immediately confronted with a severe rodent infestation in the kitchen area. Mice were present throughout the premises, leaving droppings on the countertops and contaminating our food supplies. This unsanitary and unhygienic condition not only posed a health risk but also greatly compromised our comfort and enjoyment during our stay. We discovered that the door to the back of the property was broken and inadequately repaired. This lack of proper maintenance not only compromised the security of the premises but also inconvenienced us throughout our stay. We expected a well-maintained and fully functional property upon our arrival, and this negligence on your part fell far short of our expectations. Additionally, the beds in the rental property were stained with urine, and there were no mattress protectors provided. This lack of cleanliness and attention to detail is highly unacceptable. As paying guests, we anticipated a clean and sanitary environment, which was clearly not the case. I regret to inform you that my husband sustained a serious injury on the property due to a broken tile on the dock. As he was walking, one of the tiles broke in half, causing him to fall and break a rib. It is distressing to note that when we contacted Vacasa to report the incident, their response was limited to expressing concern for his well-being without taking any proactive measures to ensure the safety of your guests.
