Newly upgraded and situated in the first row along the beach, this property boasts two real bedrooms and a prime location where all the action happens. We've just completed updates to this family-friendly townhouse in November '24, and we're thrilled to share the enhanced experience with you.
THE PROPERTY
Step into this efficient 55 m2 / 570 ft2, ground-floor access, two-floor, air-conditioned beachfront condo. Directly accessible through a seafront promenade door, the building opens onto a TripAdvisor Travelers Choice & Fodor's top-10 listed beach. The patio extends to the vibrant local cultural hotspot—the Petanque court. This is not just a beachfront property; it's a veritable front-row experience of sea, culture and sun - but one with two private bedrooms featuring closing doors (no open-loft "bedrooms").
The apartment has an open plan air-conditioned living, kitchen and dining space on the ground floor. Upstairs it has 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and a space-efficient compact bathroom (including a washing machine).
The fully functional kitchen elevates your stay (stove, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee-grinding 10 bar expresso machine, and more) allowing you to make fresh coffee with breakfast and then make the most of all the fresh food you've likeley bought at the charming market (that happens right in front of your balcony 2x a week). The 43" TV and Sonos sound system will allow you to enjoy all of your favourite tunes and series, with Netflix, Disney+ and Prime video, along with French Cable channels. The 430mbps internet will allow those working remotely to stay seamlessly connected - or for everyone in the family to watch their own HD movies.
Staying at the seafront offers more benefits than just the beach 20m from your front door. The 3km long boulevard offers hundreds of restaurants and souvenir/beach shops to keep you busy and well-fed. For people-watching, you can't get better. The balcony's frontage is on the Petanque Court which is the cultural hotspot of the town. You can leave the awning up and sit out on the patio table while you soak up provencal life. We've left a couple of Jeu de Boule kits next to the couch so instead of just watching - you can jump over the balcony wall and join in!
When you lower the awning or close the sound-insulating doors and windows, you are assured seclusion, privacy and rest. The petanque court lights turn off between 10pm and midnight, ensuring you enjoy a quiet sleeping environment - away from the hustle and bustle of other seatfront properties above the busy bars and restaurants.
Frejus is the perfect base for your French Riviera holiday, but has more to offer than just its TripAdvisor and Fodors award-winning sand beach. It is an outdoor sports lovers dream, and has endless historical and cultural attractions within an hours drive.
Culture lovers can experience the farmer's markets right out front of the balcony, and the nightly summer street market out front. The surrounding towns and hills are infused with roman history, and chique cities like St Tropez, Nice and Cannes at your doorstep thanks to a beautiful scheduled boat trip from St Raphael port. There is a water and theme park around the corner, and summer province lavender and countryside inland.
Nature and outdoor sports lovers will love Frejus: seek out the beautiful surrounding hills and nature reserves (2 indoor bike hooks are installed in the living room to keep your high-end bikes safe) or you could sail, kyak, windsurf or kiteboard to your heart's content in the bay. Nature is highly regarded in Frejus: the ocean is a part of the Pelagos Marine sanctuary and is *full of life*: squid, fish, crustaceans, and even Moon fish, Dolphins and Whales further out to sea. The Villepey lagoons are full of beavers, turtles, and at the right time of year even pink flamingos. Inland, the Massif de Maures and Esterel offer endless natural beauty and hiking adventures for beginners and advanced hikers alike. You're sure to encounter wild boar, deer, falcons, and other forest animals if you get out early.

-SHEETS AND TOWELS-
France has an unusual rental norm of renting houses WITHOUT sheets and towels. As this is a remote holiday house (We live in another country) we decided to adopt that French cultural norm and have our agent provide you with sheet rental. You will be able to rent these from our agent, and you will need to confirm whether you need them at least 10 days before the rental. If you instead decide to use the emergency backup sheets (which we keep in case of the agency being sold out of rental sheets) which are kept in the apartment's rear bedroom, we will need to increase your cleaning fee to cover cleaning costs. Please contact us if you have any doubts about this.
-BEACHFRONT LOCATION-
This is a 1st row beachfront building and Frejus plage and boules court is a bustling place during the summer. That's no surprise - it's *the* place to be: the sea's cooling waves are directly across from the apartment door, and the summer market is literally at your doorstep. The lights of the Pétanque (Jeu de boules) court in front of the apartment's patio turn off around midnight in the summer season, and that's when crowds clear out and things quieten down. Because no cars drive directly past this unit and no restaurants are below or in front of it, you'll get a much better night's rest than the ocean boulevard appartements. During the day you can lower the awning for some shade from the sun and privacy from the boules court, and ehile the dual glazed windows to keep the house cool and quiet.
Because this is a first-row beachfront property, you will end up bringing sand in with you. You'd be surprised at how many comments we've received over the years from "sandy floors" so, we left a broom and a vacuum cleaner for you to be able to clear it out. The better choice is to wash your feet properly before coming home, but we do try our best. All the same, we cannot prevent salt/dust buildup on the windows (being a seafront property), your feet bringing sand into the house, or leaf and sand dust accumulation on the outdoor balcony. Luckily you have been equipped to deal with it yourselves!.
-CLEANING-
The cleaning fee is for the apartment cleaning. This fee does not include cleaning dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, food in the fridge, or such. It does not include cleaning of beach towels or linnen, which should be rented from the agency that receives you. It does not cover clearing out rubbish from the rooms or returning furniture to its original position. It does not cover exceptional messes. All these will incur an additional cleaning fee.
-EXIT CHECKLIST-
Our agents will come to help you check out and receive the key. There is a complementary printer to print out your boarding passes or train tickets in the lower corner cupboard of the kitchen bar (behind the table).
-PARKING-
YOUR CAR WILL BE FINED & TOWED AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE IF YOU PARK....
1) On the parking around the Jeu de Boules court and post office on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday mornings, for the local market. Be sure to have your car out of the Post office parking lot by each midnight before the market (so... remove your car Monday night, Thursday night and Saturday night)!
2) On the beach side boulevard parking, every night there is a souvenirs market in summer. Be sure not to leave your car there after 4 PM!
