Nice hotel and very conveniently located
Posted Jul. 18, 2024 on HotelsStayed at the hotel for two nights on the way to the UK from southern Spain. Lovely old building and very well maintained. The reception staff were very nice and helpful and gave us a map on arrival pointing out all the attractions. The hotel is very central and 7 minutes walk to Plaza Mayor.
The hotel does have outside (no cover) car parking. Spaces are limited but this is managed well by the hotel staff to ensure space is maximised.
The only negative is the pool area. There was a serious lack of sun loungers and a lot of them were damaged and in need of replacing. For a five star hotel this was very disappointing. The pool also needed some maintenance work.

Friendly reception staff and cleaners but was appalled by the 55 euro charge for ad hoc breakfasts up from 22 euros in advance. As we are a coffee only couple re breakfast we had to order from reception and the service was slow. The hotel was beautiful and historic and conveniently located but the swimming pool was out of action and whilst the restaurant was fair it was not exceptional. We stayed for four nights and the hotel appeared to have a private party with music disturbing our sleep past midnight

Great space and surroundings, would like though to have more modern facilities in the bathroom.

Very centrally located. City center is minutes away by walking. Parking is somewhat limited, so arrive early for best spot.

This is one of the best properties we have stayed at in Spain. I would strongly recommend it. The staff are wonderful and it has on site parking and is close to everything.
