Acceptable room, terrible check-in
Publié le 17 août 2024 sur HotelsThe location is convenient for the train station, and the price is good, but you already knew that. We stayed one night. Check-in was initially difficult. The process involves remote opening of door and gate via an intercom. It didn't work. We needed to call the phone number provided. Once we gained access to the room, we quickly noticed that it was filthy. The bin was full. It hadn't been cleaned. The person on the end of the phone said there was a problem with the cleaning company. I twice asked how long it would take and received no answer. The cleaner arrived 2 hours later. We sat in the (uncomfortably hot) communal kitchen area. The room itself is OK, though in need of refurbishment. The cleaner did a good job. The AC is not very effective, so it was too hot in the night. This review gained a star because we were allowed to check out a little late.

Old uncomfortable beds...You have to get a newer bed..i actually can feel the springs in my back when i slept.

Super place, good price
Publié le 2 mai 2022 sur HotelsI enjoy my stay and I hope to stay again next year! I find a nice grocery and cook most meals at Monica's B&B, only go out a few times to eat because too much smoking! The place has everything you need, everything works, and it is very clean. It is very close to the train station and the shore. Be sure to go to Madegra around the corner for cannoli.
There was one thing you need to know. I stay in the big room in the back ( the other two rooms have balconies) where every day old person upstairs gets up 5am, walks around and around with a cane ( thump, thump, thump) and turns on the talk show very loud ( "ristrioni, mastachiolli, cannaloni Spumoni!" - no I don't speak Italian). If you want to sleep in, too bad.
