Great place and location for Sawatch hiking

Rustic Cabin

Property was nice but overgrown and could use some good landscaping with solar lighting to the hot tub for safety. Master bedroom bed was a little too soft and uncomfortable but overall the house is nice and spacious.

We thank this guest for her review so clarification on complaints can be addressed: Unfortunately, solar lighting had been installed multiple times and guests continued to remove or break every one. Regarding the “landscaping”, the property has been designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat with a variety of food sources, water, cover to raise young, and sustainable practices; additionally, a laminated page located on entry table explains the concept for guests. The only con to being designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat? Complaints from guests who mistakenly believe the property should be manicured.

Great cabin in the woods
Publié le 26 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was in a pretty setting and perfect for our family to enjoy a long weekend. The location is great for activities in Salida, Buena Vista on Monarch Mountain. The place was super clean and the host was very helpful.

Salida Slice of Paradise

Nestled amongst a dense wooded area, the stay provided us the perfect opportunity to enjoy the serenity that only nature can provide. The cabin was exactly as described and Jean was very responsive and accommodating.
A much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Ohh, especially enjoyed the hummingbird nest at the back of the cabin....and can't forget the hot tub (I'm not normally a hot tub person) - but took full advantage of the relaxing opportunity.
Thanks Jean for allowing us to enjoy your cabin.

Rough road, etc..

We thank this guest for his review so we can clarify the road is owned by the 120
acre ranch surrounding the cabin on all four sides. A step by step instruction sheet is provided to help with operating the TVs; guests are reminded to contact us with questions during their stay.
