Great home base for a stay in SLC
Publié le 16 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayFirst time in SLC, came with a group of friends for the Kilby Block Party. This place was a great home base to start and end our days. Rooms were comfortable, the rental was clean, kitchen had all the basics for us to make breakfast every day. The owner was responsive to any questions or issues during out stay, they even hooked us up with a bigger coffee pot when I said the Keurig wasn't cutting it for our group of caffeine addicts!
Location was convenient to the airport and fairgrounds, helping us save on Uber fares. Had a great trip, in large part due to this comfortable unit that felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Comfortable stay but the goats and temps were too much

However, within 30 minutes of our check-in (we were in a basement) we had goats outside our windows and in the window wells and they were bleating constantly. We had to keep all the shades down and tried to turn on the TV (which didn't work) to drown out the sound.
I had to ask the owner to clean the ice and snow off the concrete stairs down to the apartment as I didn't want my six month pregnant daughter to slip and fall, the snow was cleared by the next morning.
Lastly, the apartment does not have a thermostat and because we couldn't control the temperature, most of us were up all night because of the excessive heat. Even though it was approximately 20 degrees outside, my daughter opened her window in the middle of the night to get some relief.
The owner did message us regarding apartment temperature the next day but this seemed like a guessing game - that I didn't want to play - to determine the right temp in our apartment from an upstairs thermostat in the middle of the night.

Three messages were sent with no response and a heads up about the thermostat prior to your arrival. A simple message to let me know instead of a retalitory review would have been nice! Merry Christmas!!!

Great place for a family with kids
Publié le 15 août 2022 sur HomeAwayWe had a great stay with kids. Host was very responsive and kind. There are four different rooms and enough beds comfortably for a family with 4-6 kids. The common area was large enough for a group gathering and the rental is very spacious. Don’t be afraid to communicate with this host; reasonable requests and responses were handled very quickly. The home is easy to find and instructions were clear. The neighborhood is very safe and there is easy access to everything (major roads, highways, restaurants). Would stay again when we come up with all the kids.

Great choice and great location!!

It is well laid out with lots of space and was very clean and presentable for us. Had all the kitchen amenities even though we didn’t use them this time. Owner was available and very responsive to any questions. Thx for a great experience!!
