Unable to stay due to electrical safety, insufficient cooling and cleanliness
Publié le 24 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayTHE OWNER (CHAD) UNWILLING TO REFUND ANY PORTION OF STAY DESPITE HIS GUESTS BEING UNABLE TO STAY PAST ONE NIGHT BECAUSE OF ELECTRICAL SAFETY CONCERNS.
Issues with this BASEMENT unit-
Electrical: One guest was injured by electrical shock when plugging in cellphone into a power outlet. AC unit lost power twice over night due to a popped circuit breaker. Outlets loose and didn’t hold plugs: devices fell out. One bedroom's side lamps did not work. The front porch light flickers like a strobe light.
Cooling: Single AC unit in living room could not cool the unit. Ceiling fan in one bedroom wobbled so hard it shook the window. Bedroom windows have no screens and are at ground level bordering driveway and parking lot making opening a safety concern.
Ambiance: The house smells musty. The linoleum floor has cigarette burns and were dirty/stained. There were spider nests in window sills.
Parking: The reserved spot is directly up against a wooden fence and another unit's spot making it hard to get in or out. Also the quadplex's garbage dumpster is located directly behind the spot.
We did not stay past one night as we did not feel safe in the unit due to electrical problems, poor cooling and cleanliness. It was unreasonably warm in the unit with the stand alone ac unit in the living room unable to cool any other room except the room it is in. We were booked for 4 nights and received no refund for the 3 nights we did not stay.

Other hosts, beware! This guest tried to extort us as hosts. She said if you don’t give me back the money I’m going to leave you a bad review. This is not how the platform operates. Unfortunately, her concerns and complaints were not valid and we have supplied documentation (video) to VRBO, so that they can remove the review

Great stay at the Sugar House

Great place in cute neighborhood

It’s in a cute neighborhood and the property owner was very helpful with check in and suggestions on places to visit/ eat/ drink at in town!

Great location for a Salt Lake area ski stay!
Publié le 20 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayClean and safe; great neighborhood. Outmoded building lacked a few things upon check in such as correct WiFi login, working lamps and some dinnerware. Chad the manager provided these upon notification and we're sure he'll provide them before the next check in. The heater is loud and next to the table.

It was my pleasure to serve you and I’m glad I could run over to get you what you needed almost instantly upon your message to let me know that the bulbs had burned out. As far as your comment about the heater by the table, there is an AC unit that also has a heat function that is next to the table however the heat in the unit is controlled by the nest thermostat on the wall and it is a central heating unit. So I think maybe you were confused and thought that you had to heat the property with that other unit which is not the case. Communication is key had I known that you were confused on that I would’ve been happy to help! Come and see us again when you’re in Salt Lake :-)

Then came to bring a key for the laundry room, and spoke to my roommate with totally different attitude.
I felt kind of racist attitude tours me because I am Latin man, and my coworker is not
Maybe I am wrong but it was the way he made me feel

Publié le 30 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwaySimple but clean and well equipped, this basement apartment is in a great neighborhood, close to shops and restaurants and surrounded by charming craftsman homes.It took us only 25 min. to drive to Park City.
Chad was very helpful and responsive.
