Avis LetAway - Captain Cook's Cottage, Staithes

Great property and location. Comfortable beds. A bigger fridge would be helpful for the number of people.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this cottage in Staithes. Perfectly located 3 doors from the Cod & Lobster, we were lucky that the mixed weather allowed us to enjoy a coffee on the front bench, overlooking the beach and harbour, in the morning sun every day! Can't fault the cottage where pretty much everything is provided for your stay including a mini library with many interesting celebrity bios and plenty of other books you wouldn't expect! Pamphlets & guides for the local area are provided including a "treasure hunt" to encourage you to explore the village with all its quirks. We never did find the TV remote but we never had the time for TV anyway! We would definitely recommend and hope to return one day! PS Thanks for the wine & cookies on arrival!

The property is fantastic in such a brilliant location overlooking the bay. The owners were very communicative & helpful througuout. We'll definitely be returning soon
