This hotel has a very convenient location. It is pretty and clean with a gorgeous and comfortable lobby/bar area. The parking garage is only a few blocks away. The staff went above and beyond - thank you to Daniel, Osamma and Andy. The family suites are very spacious - a great value if traveling with kids. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect location
Posted Jul. 28, 2024 on HotelsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich. It was clean, comfortable and spacious for 4 adults. It far exceeded my expectations, and was very close to the pedestrian walking areas of Salzburg. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. We will consider staying here for our next trip to Salzburg!

For a hotel that is upwards of $350/night, it didn’t meet expectations. Our room- AC is subpar, there’s minima air movement with open windows. The minibar was advertised in the room with prices but was empty. Our hotel shampoo bottles were empty on arrival. Daily room cleaning service didn’t refill coffee/tea or provide clean glasses when used, only dropped off new towels. The hotel bar is not staffed by a bartender (the front desk manager does it all), and while they advertise $11 “mixed cocktails” they are actually pre-prepared packets (Nio?) that they add to ice, not mixed drinks.
The pros of this place include: good breakfast, good location to restaurants and shops, lovely breakfast waitstaff. They deserve praise for their kindness and attentiveness.

We booked this location because of the ac unit- we were hit and needed a break from the heat (yes, we are spoiled from the US). The ac did not cool the unit at all. We ended up opening the windows at night.
The facility and room were eclectic (red upholstered bed headboard and frame). We appreciated the assistance with the luggage and the elevator.
I would not stay in this property again.
