Very close location and good transport links to the centre of the old town. Very quiet location. Nice large room with balcony. Very polite and helpful at the front desk when I had a query which was resolved.
The Neutor Express is across from the Hotel Neutor. The Express site is more like apartments. The rooms are clean but show wear. The shower was fine, bed OK, location is great - very easy to walk everywhere. The breakfast was outstanding, but across the street. The price was right and I would stay there again though.
It was roomy, large bathroom. Didnt have much interaction with staff but little that I did they were nice and helpful. Quiet nights sleep. Good location for walking to old town and bus stops right in front of the hotel. Grocery store 2 blocks down and plenty of restaurants on the other side of the tunnel...maybe 5-10 min walk depending on type of food and speed of walking. There was a lot of construction in the area but it was not in the way of getting to and from the hotel

Great place for the price
Everything is great. The room isn't new, but for this price it is worth. All what you need to stay for a couple of days is here. Very close to the city center.
The location is great. 10 minute walk to the old town and Christmas market.
However, the woman at reception (except when we checked out) had a very sour disposition.
We tried to purchase a hot chocolate from the vending machine. It did not work. She could have been helpful, given us the coins to try again. Nothing. Very unpleasant. At check out. Mentioned it to the other woman, she immediately gave us the money and said it happns all the time. It's an awful machine. Put up a sign!
The beds and pillows were not very comfortable, but passable. Honestly, we will not be returning.
I know Austria, especially Salzburg, is expensive, but the price I paid for this room was appauling.
The room was old, dirty, falling apart and felt like I was living out of a basement or one of those overly exaggerated desperate hotels you see in movies when the main character falls on hard times.
The property was in a good location; easily walkable to the centre of Salzburg though the well lit mountain tunnel; thats the only good thing going for it, unfortunately.
The room was clean & tidy but quite basic. Hotel was well located just a 10 minute walk from main tourist spots. Hotel was very reasonably priced and check-in staff were helpful. Breakfast is offered (although I didn’t order it). Perfect stay if you want a cheap and cheerful hotel that is well located
We arrived to find no reception and we had to cross a busy road to check in .. the reception staff there were very unfriendly...i told them about the bad reviews and was told "well you booked it". The hotel smelt awful...the lift was very old...my friend was nearly sick due to the smell in her room .. mind was horrendous and the smell turned my stomach....when we complained about the smell we were offered a tin of air-freshner!

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
It would be nice if you don't have to cross the street just to check in or talk to the front desk. Front desk even gave me a key card that didn't work so I had to cross the street dragging my heavy luggage and bag to let them know. Had to cross again with my luggage and bag to my actual hotel. Once in my room, I wanted to ask about their breakfast schedule, the room has a telephone but it doesn't work (no dial tone & nothing after dialing the # they indicated). Warning, the shape of their toilet bowl is weird so expect something weird when you take a dump. The drainage in my shower was a bit clogged too. Lastly, when I left, I saw cob webs on the corner carpet under the table. Then I looked closely and saw a big spider. I just hope it didnt bit me while I was asleep. Overall, my stay was okay. The good thing is the hotel is just around 10 minutes walk to cafes and the old town and bust stop is justin front. I just hope they could improve on these issues I've encountered.
