This hotel is not at the 5 star level; If they had it at the beginning, they have let it degrade over time due to the lack of competition since there are few "all-inclusive" hotels in the area. To improve, they must prevent the client from encountering unpleasant experiences in the rooms (water licks that wet the bathroom; cockroaches (we killed 4, 3 small and 1 large).

Amazing place on the endless beautiful beach with calm blue water. Very friendly stuff. I would like to mention Diana, Pedro, and Rosa from El Limone restaurant, they made our dinners fun and memorable. Will be back soon

The property needs an entire renovation. The rooms are old, moldy and rusty. The bathroom especially had a lot of mold and rust. Although our room was cleaned well daily, the floors outside the rooms were never cleaned. The same dirt in the same place every day. The food at the restaurants was terrible and the buffet was constantly full of flies to a point that you couldn't sit and enjoy your meal. Hopefully once the Hyatt takes over this place will see great renovations.

Food quality was great but service and property need improvement. The beach was great. I would not say it’s a 5 star resort as many things are outdated and room amenities and comfort were not great. I was hot in the evenings as ac was not working well.

Gracias a todo el personal de Grand Bahía Príncipe El Portillo por hacer unas vacaciones únicas . El personal es muy atento. La comida es variada con diferentes buffets , las instalaciones hermosas y una playa única , a todo el personal del buffet de la playa gracias todos muy atentos.Las habitaciones son cómodas aunque ya necesitan algo de mantenimiento. En fin gracias una vez más.Esperamos algún día volver a visitarlos .

I just want to shout out Pablo, one of the waiters by the pool bar who was absolutely amazing! The entire 5 days of my stay he had the same energy, extremely welcoming, and providing excellent service the entire time at the pool everyday. If I come back it would solely be to receive service from him. I want to also shoutout Rafael at the Brazilian restaurant who brought the most amazing energy and service! These workers truly make the experience an unforgettable one! The Brazilian restaurant was amazing as well!
