The room we were assigned at check in had a strong damp smell so I asked for a different room. The reception staff were happy to oblige, although they took the precaution of having so much air freshener sprayed in the second room it was difficult to breathe, let alone assess whether this room was also damp! We had to prop the door open and wait outside for 10 minutes until the smell subsided! Fortunately it was fine. After a shaky start, the rest of our three-night stay was pretty uneventful. Breakfast was decent. Wi-Fi ok. Gym had just about enough equipment for a workout. Didn’t use the pool area as there were lots of kids around on the Saturday and they seemed to be doing maintenance on it on the Sunday. Overall I was happy with my stay.
