Let’s start with location. Perfect location from Texas A&M San Antonio branch. Parking lot well lit and seemed clean at night. Hotel staff A . Check in staff friendly and fast. Evening hostess friendly(night shift person). Breakfast staff extra A . Went out of there way to get us breakfast as we weren’t aware breakfast closed at 930 on weekends. The food was great especially the “IHG cinnamon rolls”. Coffee was strong and excellent. Now let’s talk about the room. Holy crap was it in disrepair. The carpet dirty and white stains all over. A few extra dark spots also. All the lights etc worked. The bathroom should be torn down. Mold all over rust stains and rusted screws on shower door. You can tell them previously painted over the mold. The floor completely wet as the shower door was previously ripped off the hinges and an improper repair was done. So the newly repaired door doesn’t close. As a hotel owner I wouldn’t be proud to put my name on this property. How did a IHG regional inspection pass this hotel.

Our stay was not that bad, however breakfast times are too early and short time frame 6:30-9:30 AM. During our check-out there was nobody there at counter, we had to go look for someone to check us out and the person who helped us didn't look too happy. The parking in front has very limited parking, too many handicapped spaces. We had to park in the back.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel itself was nice, with a clean and inviting lobby. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that there was no parking available when I arrived. The hotel needs to address the issue of limited parking spaces being taken up by trucks with trailers, as this made it difficult for guests like myself to find a spot. Upon entering my room, I was pleased to find that it smelled clean and fresh. However, my excitement quickly turned to disgust when I discovered roaches in the restroom. This was a major turn-off for me and made me question the overall cleanliness of the hotel. On a more positive note, I must say that the beds at the Holiday Inn were some of the best I have ever slept in. They were incredibly comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. Overall, my experience at the Holiday Inn hotel was mixed. While the comfortable beds were a highlight, the lack of parking and presence of roaches in the restroom left a lot to be desired. I would recommend this hotel with caution and advise guests to be vigilant about cleanliness. The hotel should definitely address the parking issue to improve the overall guest experience.
