Another Great Weekend Stay

Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayInternet was spotty at best. No water one afternoon and very low pressure once the tanks were filled. Alarm kept going off in the night. Had difficulty contacting owner. Was instructed to pull unit off wall, unplug it and stash it under a mattress in a bedroom we weren’t using. Advertised shampoo, conditioner etc but were empty. No hand soap in half bath dispenser.

Not as expected
Publié le 23 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayCheck in was not smooth. Door code was delayed in activation. We had to seek help in order to contact owner. With no WiFi accessible on our phones, we could not use WhatsApp. Also the WiFi is rather weak in this unit once we got logged on.
Photos on the website are not the same as the actual unit. Different couches are shown which changed our expectations. We have encouraged the owner to update the website.
Be aware that the main bathroom is between the two bedrooms and must be shared. Powder room bathroom at the entrance has no hot water. One sliding door is badly cracked and taped. We did not want to use it so had to walk through our friends’ bedroom. The patio is good with a lovely view of Tetakawi. Rooms were nice and clean.
The “plastic” kitchen dishes need to be replaced as they are stained. Cutlery knives are minimal although there are lots of sharp knives. Pots and pans are good but one frying pan has a loose handle. Sink stoppers do not fit properly so we used a flat rubber from the shower to hold water in the sink. The oven never started and no reply from the owner about it.
Laundry room is good and even has a little clothesline for items to be hung.
Bath towels could be replaced as they have stains. With four adults sharing the bathroom, there was only one small towel bar. Recommend adding a towel rack for drying. The AC/heater units worked beautifully.
Even with all these issues with the unit, we still enjoyed our month in San Carlos.

Wayne thank you for the review, I am so glad you had a wonderful time in San Carlos, we have 8 rental units in San Carlos and we strive to always keep them at their best, I am in the middle of making great improvements and remodeling all units, we are also working on customers recommendations as money and the low season permits, we will work on the recommendations and corrections as we always do with all of our 1200 loyal recurrent guests tips and advice. As indicated in the instruction sent 2 days before arrival to allow you AMPLE time to read them and ask questions, you must have a way to communicate with us, we try sending the access codes to the cell phone provided but needless to say your number does not work while in Mexico, owners cannot pay for guests to acquire cellular services while visiting for obvious reasons, so if you have to look for a place to call us that is not on us, because we tried calling and sending messages to the only number provided so needless to say that caused a delay on your access to the unit, please be sure to provide a working number for all future reservations with us or any other owners just to be fair to everyone and allow us to provide excellent service.

Great spot while boat was in Marina Seca
Publié le 10 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a long stay while working on our boat in Marina Seca. Easy walking distance and it was always a relief to come home to air conditioning! The apartment is very clean with beautiful views from the bedrooms and deck. The owner had requested feedback and acted on that feedback immediately (ie - bathroom trashcan with lid, shower head) with new and improved items. Easy extension of rental when things on the boat didn’t go to plan. Frank was very easy to get in touch with for any of our needs. Just overall a very nice stay!!

Great House!
Publié le 20 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayFirst, the property owner was very timely with responses, courteous, and very helpful. All questions were answered and check in instructions were clear. We had one small complaint (loud neighbors), but he addressed it immediately. It’s in an ideal location. The golf course area is a bit run down, but the home is near all amenities. 15 mins from Algodones beach, about 25 mins Miramar in Guaymas, and restaurants within a few minutes. The home looks great and has everything. Comfortable beds, good shower, A/C, accessible washer/ dryer, and great views from the patio.

San Carlos Sunsets
Publié le 19 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayLet me first start by saying that Frank was one of the best hosts we have had. He was so accommodating and quick to respond to any questions that we had. The house was exactly as described with so much room to spread out and relax. He does accept pets which is our number one concern when booking and the house is perfect for dogs. The sunsets over the mountains in the evening were stunning and then the dawn lighting them up in the morning was beautiful as well. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Publié le 24 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayPlace was super clean inside and has very comfortable beds. We had an issue with the door lock originally but the owner responded quickly and had everything working. We would stay there again without hesitation.
