The Bungalow
Posted Oct. 9, 2024 on HomeAwayThe stay was comfortable. It should be listed as sleeps 3 adults though. Because the converted closet sleeps 1 adult comfortably on the lounge sleeper. The Bathroom being located in the bedroom wasn't convenient for everyone since we was not all related. Loved the location!

Everyone please read descriptions that I have carefully written. Everything that reduced my star rating by a few people was pointed out in the listing. Master bedroom is THE en suite bath. Cot in second room sleeps ONE. Yes one person can sleep on the couch but it does NOT open into a bed.

Small but as described
Posted Oct. 1, 2024 on HomeAwayWe only needed to stay two nights so the size was fine. This fit our needs. I know the airplane noise was in the description's but the planes were louder than we anticipated. That was our only concern since a couple of planes woke us up at 4:45am.

Thank you for your 5 Star Review. We try to keep the number of guests to just 4 with one on the couch bc the floor space is just 600 sq ft. Still it is a great location for a small family and many can only budget for this Bungalow. We have lots of returning guests.
The whole area has airplane noise from Liberty Station to Mission Beach. San Diego International Airport (SAN) has several mandatory airplane schedule restrictions to reduce aircraft noise, including:
Departure restrictions
Aircraft departures are prohibited between 11:30 PM and 6:30 AM, and helicopters are restricted from departing between 10 PM and 7 AM. Aircraft that depart during these hours are subject to fines.
If planes are moving at 4:45am there is a whopping fine especially if they are commercial. Did you notice the carrier that left so early? It may have been military but they usually avoid the residential areas.

Cute bungalo
Posted Aug. 24, 2024 on HomeAwayThe house itself is cute and clean, but the neighborhood is quite sketchy. There were homeless people sleeping in their car and exchanging unknown, but presumably illicit things right across the street. The airplanes are indeed loud from 6am to 11pm. The one queen bed is really squeaky and not the most comfortable mattress. The couch that is advertised as a bed is also not comfortable. This met our needs for the weekend, however, we won’t be back due to the location and the house set up wasn’t ideal for us. It was clean tho! Host was very communicative and friendly!

Thanks for your review. I will have things worked on as this is the first I have heard of some of these issues. Ocean Beach has its problems but it has not been in our area. The planes are clearly stated in the website, sorry you missed that.

The bungalow was definitely the best place to stay in San Diego!
Pretty much everything is 15-20 mins away (like the best beaches and attractions)
Good parking as well for two vehicles!
The owner was very quick to respond to questions.
I’m definitely going to be utilizing this property again

Cute Little Bungalow
Posted Jul. 19, 2024 on HomeAwayThis is a cute little bungalow. Description in listing is pretty accurate, but didn’t include that only one window in the entire home opens. All others are painted shut. This property is close to the beach and cools down nicely in the evenings, so it would have been nice to open up the windows for some air at night and to remove the musty smell from the property upon arrival. There is a security screen that would have also allowed for outside air flow, but the locks don’t work on it. The two window air conditioners were sufficient to cool the bungalow, but were very loud. The owner was very responsive when contacted. This is a budget-friendly place for someone who wants to visit San Diego.

Hi. Thank you for your great review. The screen door seldom is used and we found people locking themselves out so we dismantled the lock. We usually just open the back door and the front door and turn on the fans. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Safe travels.

Perfect Space
Posted May 25, 2024 on HomeAwayWe stayed for just two nights but it was absolutely perfect for us! It was close to everything we wanted to do, including the airport for our departure. You can hear the airplanes but they didn’t keep us from sleeping. It was a little difficult confirming the address, maybe a little more visible house number would be helpful. All in all a great stay! Thank you!!

Nice house
Posted May 5, 2024 on HomeAwaySmall house. Main bedroom is good size. 2nd room is small. Has celing fan. Bed is a bit dogt but ok gor kiddo

Great spot!
Posted Apr. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayOur family of 4 enjoyed this cute bungalow for our visit to OB. So fun to feel part of the neighborhood and be so close to local spots. Very well appointed kitchen, cute decor, and cozy living room. Only downside - loud planes- but kind of got used to them after awhile.
