Amazing location, could be cleaner and better
Publié le 2 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall we enjoyed our stay but a few things made the trip feel a bit less than. The biggest upset was our discovery of many, many dust mites on our main bedroom tables. That means curtains, bed sheets, etc are not being washed, dusted and / or vacuumed properly. After seeing the cleaning lady go into the studio cottage next door and leave within an hour without washing linens or doing any major cleaning explained our cottages condition (which is owned by the same person / company). Lots of peeling paint, scuffs from shoes on doors, cobwebs, the place was a bit rough around the edges. The primary bedroom is a very tight fit. If the bed is moved over a few inches, the main door or bedroom door becomes inaccessible. There was a fire / carbon monoxide alarm that went off every 30 minutes. We had to deactivate it ourselves. Then we had trouble with the bedroom fan remotes so we had to resort to using the air conditioner. Trash pick up is early Tuesday morning so you will hear beeping trucks for at least an hour (not a big deal, just worth noting). The owner said the parking spot is big enough for an SUV, but it was tight and right next to our neighbors studio cottage. during our stay we saw one couple check out and a different girl check in. She was able to enter her cottage at 10-11am, which is very early considering the posted check in time was 3pm. Wow! The bedroom was personally cleaned by me since I just put the new bed frame in the property before this guest arrived. I moved everything out of the room, dusted and mopped before installing the new bed. The curtains were washed 3 months ago. Linens are washed EVERY time. I do have touch up paint on my list of things to do. I usually do this in Spring and Fall. The cleaners take the linens home with them, so 1 hour to properly clean a 300 sqft studio where one guest stayed for 2 nights is more than adequate. The fan remote needed new batteries. Easy fix had I known of the issue. The fire alarm was brand new. It was obviously defective and all she had to do was take it down. I have since replaced it with another new one that is hopefully not defective. She never asked for an early check in. If possible I do offer this and if not, I always offer at least baggage drop. The other guest was only dropping off her bags until the property was cleaned. I think this guest had other issues with her vacation and complaining about the property is easy. Please read the other reviews for a more accurate description of the property.

Cute little home base to enjoy Mission Beach
Publié le 24 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis little home was the perfect home base for a long weekend. Such an easy, quick walk to the beach. Walking distance to shops, coffee and restaurants. The boogie boards were a huge hit and it was so nice to have bike rentals so close by. Parking might be a challenge if you have a large truck, but our midsize SUV rental fit perfectly. I didn’t realize when booking that it was a jack and Jill bathroom set up, but that worked out just fine. The neighborhood got pretty festive on Saturday/Sunday, but nothing that disrupted our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay near Mission beach
Publié le 12 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at this place for about a week and it was a great convenient experience. Walk to the beach is literally 2 -3 minutes. All beach essentials were provided. Nice beach house decor and vibe. Cafes, restaurants all within walking distance. Enjoyed evening boardwalk strolls.

Cute, Clean and Near the Beach

The house is cute, clean, and within a short walk to the beach and several restraunts. The rooms are small, but comfortable. On site laundry facilities made washing beach towls easy. There is a parking spot by the house, which will fit a small SUV or compact vehicle. DO NOT TRY TO PARK A LARGE VEHICLE HERE! We would book with Molly again for sure.

Great Mission Beach House

was walkable to restaurants and beach. We have never stayed at a vrbo that had so much to offer as far as
extras. Molly was always available and helpful in every way.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Sorry you were not able to work the TV. Next time just let your host know right away so you can have it fixed. Took me 2 minutes to get it working after you checked out :)

Great cottage

Very clean and cozy

The property was well furnished and prepared, and the place was very clean. The place is on the smaller side, but it worked just fine for our family of three and all of our luggage. She has plenty of places to put away clothes. Beds were comfortable, as was the couch. The parking spot, while tight, was greatly appreciated!
