This property is more affordable than most SD rentals. It has an upstairs bedroom with a queen size bed and a living room sofa which could accommodate another person. The unit is clean and has basic kitchen appliances, tv, internet, and bathroom shower. Neighborhood is mostly residential but is walkable to stores, restaurants, a park.

Do not rent this property

Not at all as advertised. This is an added on apartment to a home. The unfinished counter in kitchen, causes your knees to abutt the open back of oven. Different furniture from picture. No wash/shower soaps, no coffee. Absolutely NO parking. We continuously had to park 10 to 15 minutes away. This property is a joke!

This is noted in the listing to ensure guests are aware ahead of time.- The kitchen counter was expertly designed by an architect to sit adjacent to the stove, providing a unique Benihana-style cooking experience that fosters a communal and interactive atmosphere.- The white sofa pictured has recently been replaced with a high-quality, top-grain tan leather sofa.- Future guests can take comfort in knowing extra soaps are stored in the bathroom vanity for convenience.- While we provide a coffee maker, coffee isn't included and isn't advertised as an amenity.- Parking in San Diego, like in other cities, can sometimes be challenging. While free street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, as noted in the listing, we recommend using ride-share services or coordinating with us for driveway access if needed.We appreciate your feedback and are committed to ensuring a great experience for all our guests.

The communication and expectations of the host was seamless and easy to follow. There were a few concerns we had with the locks on the front door windows not latching correctly which should definitely be addressed by owner for safety reasons.

Pet friendly, but not people friendly.

Despite the great reviews I read before booking this property, unfortunately, my personal experience with the owner was not so nice. It started out ok, but I apparently asked too many questions.. he became rude asking if I am "slow or something" tells me I'm the most annoying person he has rented to asked my 13 year old daughter and I to leave( we ended up staying, but it was highly uncomfortable for the rest of our trip.) He actually excused his poor behavior with "I'm Norwegian, that's how we are" 🙄👎

GOOD LOCATION

WE ENJOYED BEING ABLE TO PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY SINCE THERE WAS NO PARKING. IT MIGHT BE BETTER IN THE OFF TIME SEASON. WE COULD HAVE HAD MORE TOWELS THEN WE DID AND PRIVACY ON THE PORCH. THE PICTURE SHOWS WE HAD THE WHOLE PORCH. YOU ALSO NEED TO PUT THERE ARE STAIRS TO THE BEDROOM AND BATH. THE WAY THE PICTURES WERE SHOW THERE WAS NO STAIRS AND A TERRIBLE BACK DOOR LOCK. I WAS NOT HAPPY TO SEE HIM COME INTO THE HOME AFTER MY HUSBAND LEFT. HE DID NOT KNOCK AND IT TOTALLY SCARED ME. HE IS NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE RENTAL ONCE YOU RENT IT. WE WERE RUNNING A LITTLE LATE WITH CHECK OUT, HE WAS TALKING WITH MY HUSBAND TELLING HIM. IT WAS OKAY HE DID NOT HAVE IT RENTED YET.

Ok experience

Good and safe location, nice little apartment to stay in for a week. One incident occurred while staying that is the reason for a 3/5. Our first day there, the owner of the place forgot or didn't know we were staying there and while I was taking a nap the owner tried to break into the place because he thought the door was locked from the maids. He did try to make it up to us with a bottle of wine, but the stay was a little tainted from the thought of someone trying to break in with a crowbar while we were just trying to relax. Also the beds were very stiff, along with the pillows and i woke up with neck pains each day. Overall, probably wasn't worth the price and there are better places out there.
