Spring Break beach time
Publié le 2 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay! It worked well for the parents in the bedrooms and most of the kids sleeping on the porch in sleeping bags on the provided beds (late March). The beach is directly off the porch, just walk right down. And I'll try to clear up the confusion left by other reviewers regarding rocks and sand at the beach. At low tide, there is primarily a rocky shore in which you will find an abundance of sea life which entertained the kids for many hours. Beyond the rocks there seemed to be mostly sandy botttom which allowed for play in the water. At high tide, the rocks are all covered with water. Playing in surf at high tide required awareness of the rocks just past the surf. Paddle boarding at any tide was enjoyable with the awareness of the rocks below at high tide. The house is just as you see in the pictures- nice couches intersting architecture, working kitchen- with the typical restraints of an off-grid house in Baja. We found there to be sufficiant electricty and water supply (utilty and drinking). Wifi worked for our phone access, and there was a washing machine for midweek laundry. If you are looking for a spacious beach house with a big porch right on the sand, this is it. 5 star baja rating. If you want 5 star Miami beach, you can find that (and pay much more for it) elswhere. This was just right for 4 adults and 6 kids that came to play in the sand for 5 days. Publié le 16 nov. 2017 sur HomeAwayOur stay was great! This being our 3rd time in San Felipe and 1st time past punta Estrella camp ground. The water we were used to was sandy and could just jump right Infront of the places we’ve stayed. The water here was super rocky, unable to swim rocky. So glad we had 4x4s and packed up the cars and headed down further from the house to enjoy the sandy part (WHICH REALLY ISNT TOO BAD, unless you don’t have the cars to do so) THE HOUSE; The cookware was really dirty but we did clean them and they were good as new! The fridge DOES NOT get cold. We minimized opening it just as instructed and still didn’t get cold. The freezer worked very well though. Most of our food would’ve gone bad if we didn’t place them in the freezer or ice chest. Few broken things but nothing we needed just worried we would get charged so pictures were taken. The third bathroom wasn’t located until the last day and none of the keys given were able to open it. 10 people we managed with the two bathrooms third is outside a little inconvenient. Besides that we enjoyed our trip and made use of the house!! Super relaxing no neighbors and so quiet!!!! FYI, 45 mins from town! Awesome off-roading!

Lovely house on the beach 2 1/2 hours south of the border.
Publié le 15 avr. 2017 sur HomeAwayWe weren't sure what to expect. The houses nearby were all empty except one or two so we had the beach in front of the house to ourselves. The house was wonderful- beautiful, comfortable, well stocked. A great place to get away from everything and relax with our teenagers.
Bring watershoes, the beach is sandy but there are rocks in the water when the tide is up.

An amazing getaway!

Endless beach and sea out your back door and stunning beauty of the desert meets the mountains out the front door. We'll be back, it was hard to leave this magical place. And the owner Jodi, was super responsive!

In need of some TLC
Publié le 10 août 2016 sur HomeAwayWell,definitely no 5 star casa,maybe at one time but not now.The place has a lot of thing that need repair,great stain glass doors the have holes and glass hanging in them,one has duck tape holding the broken glass together. There is no wi-fi internet as advertised,no signal for anything but that was no big deal for me,but when you have kids on the trip and the add said golf arcade game ,gaming console,surround sound,and nothing works but the TV ,its hard.Worst part for me was trying to get the generator working for the AC,the main battery is dead so they have a charger rigged up to charge it but you have to go out there and plug in in for about 45mins to an hr before it will charge, and if you try to early you have to start again, and the AC really doesn't do too much, I will say its a nice setting ,a little to far out of town which takes a good 40min trying not to lose your wheels in the pot holes ,really not good at night when ya cant see them., Well like i said the house was probably a great place at one time,,,,,,,but remember off the grid means off the grid.

I am so sorry to hear of the issues that you had. I wish that you would have contacted me or VRBO support to let me know what was happening. I have several people on staff that will respond and be at the property in 20 minutes or less. We did go down for 3 days after I saw your review and addressed all the issues and repaired everything. Unfortunately the power issues were due to a previous guest that had disconnected just one cable on 1 battery. It was simple fix and took just minutes to solve that. Also the stained glass was due to previous guests and we were never told of the damage. We also fixed the Golden Tee golf game the rollers were dirty so again it was a simple fix. The internet did work when we were down, but again someone had plugged in another router/device that was not even ours and so it did not broadcast a signal. We unplugged it and then our router worked fine. Once in awhile the signal drops but that happens to all Telcel customers in the area we are located. It usually picks up right after but if not them simple unplug the device and it will reconnect right away. It is off grid but in 12 years I have never had a complaint that I could not fix or address right away. I would love to make it up to you in a future stay at any of my 5 star properties. I am so happy that you did enjoy the setting. We love the quiet peaceful private beach and the safety there. I appreciate your feedback and if you would have reached out to let me know of any of these issues I would have sent someone to address them right.

Amazing house! Beautiful beach!
