Great Host!

The apartment is in a nice neighborhood and close to Golden Gate Park and other SF treats.

Ok, Friendly host but smelled
Posted Sep. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayThe host was very friendly and responsive. The location was perfect and the check in process was smooth.
Some negatives I have are the apartment smelt wierd. Im not sure what the smell was but there was something nasty smelling. The carpet was quite dirty and could do with a deep clean. The furniture was quite old, the bed and sofa creaked and the bed sank in the middle. Also, the bed is advertised as a king size bed but was only double size. The apartment is in the basement of a house so it lacked daylight. Lastly, the people that lived in the upstairs apartment were noisy.
Overall, the stay was ok, I would recommend this place to stay because of the location and friendliness of the host. The apartment could do with a deep clean to remove the pungent smell and the furniture could be upgraded.

Short get away

unclean and stinky
Posted Nov. 2, 2023 on HomeAwayThere was different furniture than what was listed in the ad. The carpet was filthy.
Mildew on every window sill and mold/mildew on silk flowers that were in the windows.
The entire apartment smelled of rancid sponge the entire stay because the kitchen area was given a good once over with a rancid sponge prior to our arrival...very uncool.
Greasy stove top, dusty fridge top, crusty toaster, piss in toilet upon arrival, hair on bathroom floor...FILTHY apartment. Oh, and no window coverings on bedroom window...nice. Cleaning fee was too much for the size of the space, and yeah....filthy af.

We try very hard to maintain a wonderful and affordable place for people to stay. unfortunately we hired a new cleaner and it didn’t work out as the work was not being done to our standards. we have since replaced that cleaner. we have been in business for 13 years and we have a 4.8 rating. so if you read this review please take into account that every business fails once in a while. it’s how you respond that makes the customer experience. unfortunately the guests did not let us know there was a problem until after they checked out.

Great location and very comfortable
Posted Jul. 24, 2023 on HomeAwayMichael’s studio was a great base for exploring the city, close to public transport links and in a quiet residential area. He kindly allowed us to leave luggage the day we were leaving until later that afternoon which was incredibly helpful

Decent cheap place to stay
Posted Jul. 6, 2023 on HomeAwayComfortable enough, accessible to everything, easy check in and check out process. The sofa folds out to a twin bed; we didn’t figure that out until the second night. Shower water pressure is low but doable. Host makes it clear that you aren’t paying for a cleaning service so we weren’t surprised the countertop was a little sticky—that might be an issue for some but, at this price, no biggie for us. Thanks for the accommodations 😊

Cosy and clean
Posted Sep. 11, 2022 on HomeAwayNice quiet neighbourhood. Studio within easy walking distance of restaurants and food stores. Also near the metro which gets you downtown in about 15 minutes.
