This place is a fraud

This place is NOT as advertised. First off, it's a stretch to call it Russian Hill. It's North Beach. You can tell because it's100 yards from columbus. "Penthouse" is a stretch when it's simply on the top floor of a four story building. The place is very strangely laid out and looks like it was decorated by a fraternity. Black leather couches that are worn and look garage sale. Strange nook with CD's and . . . NOTHING else. Awful art everywhere with a sign saying "For sale!". Jacuzzi tub? Yeah hand sign saying it doesn't work and leaks. Hand signs everywhere saying don't use this don't use that. The building itself is awful and looks to be from 1960's and hasn't been updated or fixed since then. For example, the elevator had hand screwed in wood screws holding the door in at all kinds of strange intervals and no certificate saying it was inspected. It felt like it was going to fall down everytime you took it. There were holes (HOLES!) in the wall of the lobby with chipped and broken walls everywhere. The carpet was something that looked 30 years old and threadbare. Inside the apartment the owner gave one (ONE) threadbare towel per bedroom. The towel I received was falling apart and had foot long threads hanging off it. Meanwhile the "master bed" had some sort of flea market sheet on it and the mattress was terrible with weird lumps in it. The decor is plain awful. There's not a thing in there not from flea market. I have pix. AWFUL

This guest retaliated against me by writing a terrible false review after I discovered that he brought an unauthorized, unidentified dog into my pet free home. Once dishonest always dishonesty and very disappointing when he never replied to any of my messages. It would be ridiculous for me to comment on such a review.

Sisters trip

Very close to Fisherman’s Wharf and many activities. We could walk to many attractions and restaurants. We were there during a heat wave and there was no air conditioning but it cooled off nicely at night.

Surprised on guest comment on no A/C because my listing states no A/C which is very common in San Francisco.

Would love to give this property a higher rating as the Penthouse itself was beautiful, a nice kitchen and good location. However, the lack of the basics expected in a lodging costing $1,000/ night (with all the extra fees) resulted in the lower rating. As mentioned in other reviews, - the lack of washcloths - only 3 for 6 people, very thin pillows, master bed on the floor (which you only find out by looking through all the pictures in the listing - not mentioned in the description) missing or broken items, i.e.. curtain in room connecting master bed room to bathroom missing, Jacuzzi nonfunctioning, outlet not working - all of which could be easily rectified by the owner of he chose yo

I am not certain what the concerns are about thin sheets, missing items and curtains. Sheets are 100% cotton and 50/50. My home is equipped with a gourmet kitchen ready for cooking if anyone decides to not enjoy the city life of the restaurants all in walking distance. I do not have curtains separating master bedroom and bathroom, I have French doors. For the bed and jacuzzi, it has photos and description of jacuzzi not operational. So if you did not read or see, that is not my fault and getting such a poor review is undeserving.

Great location and views of San Fran

The 5th floor view was great the location allowed us to easily see the city on foot and via the street trolley. Located between Washington Square and the Wharf. Perfect.

Great Location, Amazing Views, Spacious Penthouse

The location of the penthouse is great. You can walk to the piers, shopping centers, and lots of amazing restaurants. The penthouse itself is clean and spacious. The views are incredible. I would definitely stay here again.
