The Clift is an iconic San Francisco hotel. The Union Square area of SF is dirty and filled with homeless people everywhere. Including the block on which the Clift is located. Nothing you can do about that. This may seem petty but putting one-ply toilet paper in guests bathrooms is insulting beyond words The redwood room is a treasure, and the staff everywhere is gracious and competent.
