Overall a beautiful property and nice stay. Unfortunately, cash was stolen out of my wallet by staff in our room. Manager Karol C and security got involved, investigation and interviews with their house keepers were done, nothing was found, and management explained to me there was nothing else further they could do but to escalate it to a different company they use for these types of situations if I desired. I asked them to initiate a case for me, but still haven’t heard back. I was initially told they would not be able to compensate me for my loss, supervisor Larissa called me the day of check out and honored partial credit back to my room. I would not have expected this type of service with this resort and was not impressed with how everything was handled. It put a damper on our stay, and made us on edge and weary of their staff. So my recommendation is to definitely use the safe!

I booked through Expedia and it said all taxes and fees were covered however upon arrival they said I still had to pay resort fees. Spoke to Expedia who confirmed that all fees were already paid for and the hotel would be reimbursing me after check out. I went to check out and they said they would not reimburse me resort fees claiming the ones paid to Expedia didn’t count, and would only reimburse for the incidents deposit.

Bar staff wasn’t too attentive on palapa stools in the middle pool area -it took a long time to order from them. Other Pool staff was good and timely and attentive. Foods overpriced at resort. Would be nice to be able to eat at the resort if more affordable. Javier’s was never busy - we heard because the prices. Beautiful restaurant and area just overpriced so we only had a drink each which was pretty expensive and that was near $70 for 3 margaritas. Not all inclusive and they make it hard to eat and drink there with the high prices. Room had 3 people but amenities were for 2 ppl. Needed extra glass towels coffee cups etc. each day. Been twice but probably won’t return to this property unless the price can’t be beat. Not a timeshare or points owner. Wish I could say I loved it because it’s beautiful but we visit often and other resorts have been more pleasant for us. Resort is clean.
