Points faibles : Propreté, commodités et état et installations de l’hébergement.
Beware! This property is not as advertised. The advertisement that the house is “Beachside” is a stretch. House is on top of a steep hill from the beach with multiple other houses between it and the beach. Some key pictures in the listing are outdated; for example, the listing picture of an ocean view from the first floor no longer applies as it appears to have been taken over 10 years ago before tree growth blocked the view. The home is advertised as inside Rancho Santana; however, what is not disclosed is that Rancho Santana charges a resort fee of $17.25 per person per day. The resort told the home owner to clearly disclose the resort fee in his listing, but he refuses. The owner claims that the resort fee is optional and only payable if you use the resort amenities, but resort staff state it is required to be paid regardless of what amenities are used (we were told the resort fee was owed at the front gate when we first arrived). Other problems: lizard poop all over the top bunk bed when we arrived (we have pictures), a broken ceiling fan, A/C remotes with dead batteries on our arrival, and bathroom doors that have the wrong type of lock creating safety issues. The interior bathroom doors inadvertently locked behind us. When we called the manager, they said they didn’t have a key to reopen. When a locksmith arrived the next day, he said these were incorrect locks for bathrooms and the door latches were out of adjustment. For the above reasons, I can’t recommend this home.
